I’m eating

Two miles in the morning, then I lift about 30 mins to an hour. Repeat at night, I’m been losing a lot of fat, I’m starting to see vains in my abdomen I’ve sever seen before, lol, I love it I eat about five small healthy meals a day.

Picture on the left was from last December, right picture was 1st of November of this year, yesterday. My before and after picture :)

Great progress! Keep it going ... I'd be wary about seeing veins in your abdomen even with your incredible losses - unless that's just your metabolism.

Muscle will always burn more calories than aerobic exorcise.
Try to focus on which exercises get the most bang for buck (and that work for you).
^ meaning don't just plan your meals, record your energy levels in notes for each exercise and the rotation as well. This will be key for those low days from repeating too consistently.
Time under tension for weaker msucles - it pays BIG dividends in strength and more weights.
Don't injure yourself: this is harder to pay attention to than you may think.

I hate running ... unless it's sprinting. But I need to incorporate this over the winter. I personally feel I get a MUCH better aerobic workout over skipping rope for 3-5mins than I would a 100-400m run flat out (I can do 11:12 100m and I'm 44yrs, I used to do it in 10.52 when I was 15yr and I weigh 75lbs more now than I did as youth).

Again phenomenal progress ... keep at it. Start to take weekly pictures you'll thank yourself for this a decade from now.

Series 3 is finally acceptably functional. No surprise.

Series 0 is still completely functional, no worries at all. Significantly improved visually since my wife bought me a black milanese loop strap, but otherwise I don't feel any need to upgrade. Maybe one day.

What is with apple not releasing sales numbers for the watch? They keep on touting that its #1 but what does that mean?

Obviously Apple knows the numbers. And when they compare them to the other guys' numbers they are clearly #1.

Amazon doesn't share numbers for Kindles either... but they know they have the #1 ebook reader.

I agree it would be nice if they just told us. But I really have no reason to doubt Apple or the analysts who estimate Apple Watch sales. The numbers are sooo much higher than anyone else... they're not even in the same league.

Android Wear has gone nowhere and it seems to have been basically abandoned. There are companies like FitBit and Garmin who move a lot of fitness devices... but they aren't really tops in the "smartwatch" segment.

Even if we don't know the exact number of Apple Watches that are sold each quarter... we are given enough clues.

i sold my apple watch cuz everytime i wear it my hands gets tingle & after it gets numb.. i hope tim cook can fix this problem not only me but to others whos having this kind of problem so that we can use it also...
How can they fix that?

Apple could kill the market by releasing numbers. Example: Roku would never had IPO'd if Apple had released the ATV numbers. Analysts thought Roku had sold more than Apple, and apparently Apple has been cleaning Roku's clock for years.

The only thing my series 0 can't do is unlock my mac, which i think is because my mac's been sort of hacked together. Besides that it fits my needs pretty well.

The Apple Watch is growing on me, but still no rush on my end. If I get one it'll be purely for the convenience. At this point I'll probably wait for the series 4 so I can get a great deal on the fast series 3.

There's no way of telling exactly when Series 4 will debut, but if you really are looking for Series 3 Apple Watch, there will likely be plenty of sales for the aluminum model in the next few weeks.

I’m truly enjoying my first Apple Watch (Series 3 SS) I’ve always been active, however, recently I’ve been pushing my ass to burn 1015 calories daily. I’m on a 16 day streak so far, I don’t plan to stop! It’s a challenge, but it’s getting done !
Just did a 1400 a day week. :)

Great to hear. I really do think wearables is the future direction for Apple in terms of growth and innovation.

I thought the Apple Watch was a failure?!

That's what they wanted you to believe. I have no nerves to go back on time in this forum before the first series came out but it is quite halibuts to read some of peoples comments here. It just makes you realize how daft or ignorant some people are.

Freudian for sure. Lol.
I had to go back and check to get the Freud reference. But no, that wasn't it.

Not sure, but ‘getting dirty’ for me implies gardening or woodworking. Or some other manual labor of course.
This wasn't it either. It was actually the very first sentence of QuarterSwede's quote, and quite a bit more pedestrian.

Buy the S3. It easily gets me through 2.5 days and charges in under an hour...
Here's what you did, unknowingly:
One of these smartwatches is a Series 3. The other is an S3.

You inadvertently suggested that iPhone_X buy the Samsung watch.:D

I understand not publishing numbers in early iterations of a brand new product, but I think it's time to start seeing some data here.

But what is the motivation for the tight lips?

Redesign for the series 4 also a glucose Monitor and I’m sold

I agree. DEXCOM still not able to do a good job. They had a good start, and now technically nothing is coming. E.g. their handling of Bluetooth is amateurish. Although Apple allows a direct link of Bluetooth into the Watch, Dexcom still makes the detour via the iPhone. Now I'm looking forward to Apple's professionalism.

A huge market.

They don't want to be big behinds like Microsoft was back in the day. Apple's size means that they could crush markets by showing numbers that other companies can't match. As I said before, Roku's numbers are like half of Apple's, but most people believed Roku had sold a ton more devices than Apple. Nope.

That behavior also may keep the anti-trust people at bay. There's nothing like an unfair competition lawsuit to bring in the anti-trust guys. And just try to get funding if you had to compare your sales numbers to an Apple "hobby" product.

Shame their insane decision to remove basic music navigation functionality has ruined the original series watch... I won’t be buying another one.

The S3 reference was definitely unintentional.

Apple does not break out Apple Watch sales, instead lumping the device into its "Other Products" category that includes Apple TV, Beats products, iPod touch, and Apple-branded and third-party accessories.

OK, anybody notice the biggest selling item of last year which is missing from the article's list of "other" devices, which is SPECIFICALLY a wearable?

The AirPods.

It's an interesting distinction, because the AirPods cost $159. That's about half the cost of the Series 3, and only $100 less than the Series 1. So it's a 2:1 ratio for the Series 3 which is presumably the biggest seller. And since the Airpods can be used with any blue-tooth product, likely matches that ratio easily, if not handily surpasses it.

So Cook boasts a 75% increase in "wearables" a category into which the AirPods fit, then talks about the success of the watch, leaving us to presume its the success of the Watch driving it. Then MacRumors fails to even mention the AirPods in the article. I'd say there's a pretty good chance that the AirPods drove a significant portion of the 75% increase.

Probably AirPods

Yup. I agree.

What? I still can play music, albeit from my phone. Are you talking about something else?

I was very skeptical of the Apple Watch at first. I did not like the design (still not crazy about it) and was reluctant to let my Omega Seamaster go to my drawer.i purchased one last December and I really enjoy using it. I am an avid swimmer and after purchasing it, I improved my fitness quite a bit. Now I can track my goals and that motivates me to reach and surpass then. It feels I can’t cheat it because my AW will tell me.
Another two features I like are the find my iPhone and unlocking my Mac. Very handy.
For that I am thankful for. Good job Apple, keep making this better and the swim app too.
