iTunes not showing GUI

I had the problem with iTunes not showing the GUI after installing Leopard--it also took several minutes to even get to that point. Until about 15 minutes after starting iTunes the first time, the Dock menu showed "Application Not Responding". (I didn't notice it immediately--I noticed it when Awaken woke me up with the backup alarm sound this morning instead of with music.)

Once the dock menu for iTunes did show up, though, I quit iTunes and started it again and this time I got the GUI for it.

Quciktime movies in web gallery not playing

10.5.2 update seems to have broken my ability to play movies uploaded to my web gallery. I get an error message saying Quicktime cannot play the movie.

Azureus seems broke too.
Same problem that I'm having with iTunes, it won't show.

This is a stab in the dark, but are you running multiple monitors? I find when I disconnect my external LCD from my MBP, occasionally screen hogs like Azareus don't move to the built-in screen.

Also, I wonder if this is a Spaces thing. Have you tried to find the apps on another Spaces screen?

I must say I haven't had any issues with any of my apps with the 10.5.2 update.

iTunes works great, been watching Terminator SCC's in it the past couple of days
CSSEdit works great
Powerpoint hasn't had a single hickup

Out of all the posts above those are the only 3 I have and none of them have experienced any issues.

Haha, you were right, I checked my spaces after reading your post, since I have a VM running i fullscreen mode I thought it would hide underneath.

I wouldn't think that programs could show up on external screens that were turned off (never happened before!) but, as I fired up the external screen voila, there it was.

I feel so silly

Thanks for your help 🙂

Growl working fine on my iMac. I don't think it's the app itself. Maybe one of the apps you have talking through it.

Growl itself wasn't initialising - I gather something had corrupted... I made another post shortly after I tried removing it and reinstalling, basically saying that it's working perfectly now and I'm finding 10.5.2 very stable and very fast 😀

My friend has a 24" iMac (2.8) and all the Microsoft apps (2004) are no good. Even the updater "quits unexpectedly". All of my Microsoft apps (2004 and 2008) are working ok. Runs fine on MBPs.

Don't know why but CSSEdit runs again

Hi everyone,

Started this thread with CSSEdit that did not run since the update, Today it seems to have woken up for some weird reason, and works again! 😀

So forget that post from me. Sorry
