Do we have a centralized thread for all apps that appear to be (even partially) broken in iOS 5?

If not, here's one.

Netflix - video won't play
Hulu Plus - video won't play
HBO Go - video won't play
Beejive - can't send video
Boxcar - can't configure settings for individual streams

Feel free to add any that you've encountered.

I'll try out CineXplayer and VLC tonight.

Air Video-- Can't stream videos. Which makes the app kind of useless right now. :(

There is a thread started by an OP saying that even games are crashing, was IOS 4 beta as buggy as IOS 5 beta is?

I didn't use the 4.0 beta, so I can't compare, but the bugs in 5.0 are relatively minor. Slight graphical hiccups and some apps crashing randomly, but nothing major that you have to reboot or restore or anything like that. I'd say it feels about 90% right now.

I was in 3, 4 and 5 beta, and I feel like this has been the most fully baked thus far.

Gonna try a restore later tonight

Alot of apps won't work properly for ios5 because they where written for ios4.x so it stands to reason we will have alot of problems with apps.

Just because certain apps aren't working doesn't mean the beta is buggy, it just means that a program designed for IOS4 isn't 100% compatible with IOS5, that's the whole point of releasing a beta of the new OS to devs, it gives devs not onyl a chance to test out new API's but make sure their apps will be compatible with the new OS once it goes gold.

dropbox - upload tab it crashes
weather channel max just stays on the screen your on

Looks like I won't be using Netflix during my trips to the rest room then....

In any case, I've found a few issues with apps (although it may be an OS problem):

- TweetBot's UI isn't being drawn 100% of the time (ex: the title bar)
- Safari & videos:
- If you try to show/hide the media controls or tap to zoom in on the video, it may crash out.
- Secondly, if you had a video playing in Safari, leave the app, then play music somewhere else (aka iPod), then return to Safari, the music fades out as if media is playing in Safari when it's not the case.

the native 'videos' app doesn't work for me.

when I try to drop videos into the iphone they will appear grayed out in itunes and then I can't access them through the videos app either

this is on an iPhone 4 at&t.

anyone else having the same issue? the videos app is my most used app so this beta for me sucks

Netflix + iOS 5 = working for me

So many people are saying that Netflix doesn't work, but I put iOS 5 on my iPad 1 and Netflix streaming video works perfectly fine...

How are you installing it? From the app store or through a backup restore? Mine was from a restore. Not sure if that matters at all.

Doesn't work on the iPhone

Exactly. Active developers is working to update their apps to work with iOS 5.

Posting it won't change anything.

Does seem strange to me that people (I'm sure they're all devs) would want to put a Beta 1 on a device that's being used day to day (especially given the track record of first betas). Is it really worth it to have the notification centre...?

Yes

if it annoys me enough, it would take me about 15mins to downgrade.

so is it worth 15minutes of my time to upgrade, check out the cool new features at no risk/cost? Sure.

It just hangs on the loading screen when trying to upload photos from the camera roll.
