The Weather Channel

Severe Weather alerts are not loading, which is kind of crappy seeing as there's severe weather coming...

Guess the devs are going to need the next 4 months to get everything working...

This is the main reason that developers get a beta version before the Final GM version is released. This is there chance to reconfigure their apps and make patches.

I'll try out CineXplayer and VLC tonight.

VLC works on iphone and ipad

UK Train Times (National Rail) crashes on startup.
found that out this morning, was a slight inconvenience, but i'm using thetrainline's app in the meantime as it works

Yes. When I try to reply to a post - it says no internet connection.

facebook app works for me, i was getting the no internet connection in 4.3.1, it's a glitch on the app, either press try again now or go to the main page then back into the feed

Does seem strange to me that people (I'm sure they're all devs) would want to put a Beta 1 on a device that's being used day to day (especially given the track record of first betas). Is it really worth it to have the notification centre...?

I agree. Totally worth it as well. Fun to play with the latest version. Downgrading is always possible.

Guess I'll add it here also, the clock-timer does not put the ipod to sleep like it should. I woke up in the middle of the night and music was still playing

No luck with iheartradio. Get a 'Server returned error status 0 while connecting'

I just had an update to Tapatalk and had my fingers crossed that it would be fixed but it seems to be even worse...

Probably, but as they can't release apps compiled for iOS 5 yet, they're not necessarily able or bothered to solve the glitches in apps running on an OS that's not approved for end-users.

(and what happens when Beta 2 breaks the apps in a different way, should they keep listing bug fixes for new incompatibilities (i.e. not necessarily bugs in their actual apps) for users who are either running illegal copies of the OS or are going against advice and running betas on their day-to-day devices?)

I know some Indie developers may not be able to afford separate test-devices, but I wonder if it would make more sense to stick to testing their apps for compatibility in the simulator until, say, beta 4 or 5 comes out (especially seeing as their apps do not need to be ready for iOS 5 for at least another two months...)

I can't get Textfree to work on the 3GS.
I get the Notification for received messages and it shows up in the Notification list but then when I actually open the app the new messages aren't there.
I also can't send messages.

UPDATE:
Looks like Pinger has confirmed on their Facebook page that it's a real problem.

Facebook is pretty buggy. But that app has always sucked so who knows if it's iOS 5 or just the app

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/534.32 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

One thing I use all the time for my business is the SQUARE Credit Card Payment system for my business. If I can't get it to work today going to have to downgrade.

Alien Blue (reddit client) seems to be working okay mostly, but the app's top bar gets cut-off by the IOS top bar (time/battery/etc.)

UK Train Times (National Rail) crashes on startup. Texted on iPhone and iPad and have tried a reinstall. No dice.

Many thanks for this, was thinking of trying out the beta, however this app is near essential for me.

The 2Do app crashes as soon as it opens.

Having issues with tapatalk not loading threads.
