Probably, but as they can't release apps compiled for iOS 5 yet, they're not necessarily able or bothered to solve the glitches in apps running on an OS that's not approved for end-users.
(and what happens when Beta 2 breaks the apps in a different way, should they keep listing bug fixes for new incompatibilities (i.e. not necessarily bugs in their actual apps) for users who are either running illegal copies of the OS or are going against advice and running betas on their day-to-day devices?)
I know some Indie developers may not be able to afford separate test-devices, but I wonder if it would make more sense to stick to testing their apps for compatibility in the simulator until, say, beta 4 or 5 comes out (especially seeing as their apps do not need to be ready for iOS 5 for at least another two months...)
