Those will be compatibility updates via the previous SDK, updates using the new API's via the new SDK will roll out after 18th.

No. They already rolling out. Bunch of iOS7 updates arrived the appstore today.
And yes it's REAL iOS7 Updates. (You can proof it by opening the keyboard in this app)

iOS 7 Keyboard = iOS 7 API.

So for all. Apps made with iOS7 SDK are already rolling out. kkthxbye

How those apps look on iOS6? :D

Is there translucency? I'm guessing no.

Only in the keyboard. And it has the iOS 7 keyboard so it's definitely optimized for iOS 7. So for the people saying apps can't be updated using the iOS 7 SDK were wrong as usual.

Ah, that's exactly what I was wondering about. Very cool.

NO, they were correct. Up until Tuesday, it wasn't possible to get an app approved using iOS7 APIs. After the event tuesday, Apple sent out an email asking developers to start submitting their apps. So some of those are starting to get approved and rolled out. What do you think devs have been working on for 3 months??

Oh man, the times of taking a screenshot on iOS 7 and snapchat not detecting it are coming to an end

Question.

Would any of you pay for updates to apps you already paid for to get an iOS 7 optimised look?

Yes, depending on how much much I use the app. For things like OmniFocus, Evernote, Rdio, Dropbox, Tweetbot, etc., I'd definitely pay for the update. Those guys probably had to put a lot of work into redesigning their apps to the new guidelines, and they have bills to pay.

I have started receiving app updates that fix the compatibility issues with IOS7.. No ui changes.

Come on WhatsApp devs... I want iOS7 keyboard :(

Really sucks the keyboard flag is APP dependant... kind of surprised me when I saw the ugly ass grey keyboard

Im talking about the people that said you wouldnt see apps with iOS7 APIs until the 18th. Where most people assumed is when you would start getting updated apps with the IOS 7 APIs.

Fyi.. Google isnt going to update translate.. So just delete it if you are on ios 7

There are other apps that use the api's

Whatsapp has always looked pretty ugly IMHO. Really hope that they do an nice iOS 7 version as I use it to message all my none iPhone friends.

I would pay depending on how the pricing is structured. For example, if I already own the app and have paid for it then I would like to think we'd get the update via a reduced price IAP? This would be in comparison to a newcomer who comes along and pays the same price you already have and gets the whole new design as a first time buyer.

It'll be interesting, but I worry some more opportunist developers will attempt to charge existing users more for very little.

Instasize is now redesigned for ios7...dont know about other APIs yet. They even gave it a new Flat Design icon

Whatsapp devs have always been very lazy on their updates so i guess we will need to wait a bit...they still have the same old limited notification sounds which is very limited.

Whatsapp devs are shameless fandroids. Look at how much better looking the android version is.

Slo Pro got updated this morning with a great iOS 7 look.

It even says it supports the 5S and 5C in the description.

They took around 2 months to make it for the iPhone 5, 4" screen that is.

So yes, so damn lazy devs.
