April 1 Ship Estimates are being "Prepared for Shipment"

Seems like a simple, logical way to get to that 1,000,000 unit sold press release faster. I guess I'll get my 64 next month perhaps?

One has to wonder, how long will it take Apple to fulfill all the March 11 orders? It's been 2-weeks now. There must have been an unimaginable demand for that first weekend. Also, it would be very interesting to know what the daily production numbers are.
Has anyone with a Black 32GB wifi only seen movement? Ordered mine at 8:59am PDT, ship date of April 1. Still Not Yet Shipped. I don't think I've seen any of that specific configuration with an April 1st ship date actually ship yet on this thread.
Just curious guys, how long did your order sit from having a pending charge on your credit card to being shipped? I noticed a pending charge for my 16GB iPad 2 Black yesterday but my status has not changed. I was curious if there was something I could be told by calling and the rather rude lady told me that I wasn't charged it was a pending action and that they were back ordered.
However I know it's pending but according to Apples own policy they don't hold money until it prepares to ship, and Apri 1st to me is not preparing to ship, and they don't charge until it ships. So unless the pending charge goes away tomorrow they are holding onto my cash and not sending me an item. I really want it but I don't want to be a rude jerk but at the same time it's a little unreasonable to hold my funds a whole week and almost a half before they ship it. So I was just curious what time frame most of you saw from getting a pending charge to a shipped status.

Still waiting as well... I ordered my 32GB Black WiFi unit at 1:06 p.m. Pacific, and it's still listed as "Not Yet Shipped".
Hmm...as I suspected. I wonder why our config seems to be behind others. Ah, well. Hopefully the night will bring movement.
If you see any movement with your order, let us know. I imagine that you're probably near the head of our respective pack!
My pending charge is still there. Ordered at 3:45 pacific, 16gb Black Wifi, still not yet shipped. My orders always seem to ship last from the group from Apple though same with the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, but I still get it the same time as the rest of the group. I'm in Michigan, so maybe it's a direct route. I keep telling myself I don't care, it will get here when it gets here, but the suspense is killing me! haha. If I just knew a definite day, that'd be different.
I too am waiting on a black 32g wi-fi. Ordered at 4:33pm PDT. No indication it's coming anytime soon. Frustrating. Happy folks are getting their ipads, but do not understand why our particular unit is in limbo.

My white 32GB WiFi shipped two days ago and has been sitting on Lantau Island ever since. My iPad sent me an email and told me that she feels like Tom Hanks on Cast Away.

I ordered the same model about 30 minutes earlier than you. Still getting "Not Yet Shipped" but I did see a pending charge on my card a couple of days ago. Maybe they're "pinging" the card to make sure there's still available credit? Who knows.
At least she has a friend. My 64GB white WiFi wrote and said she's thinking about leading a midnight escape to nearby Hong Kong Disney. She must know I'm a fan and plan to take her to Disney World end of next month. If she doesn't bring me back some good souvenirs we're going to have words when she gets here. I can just as easily take her older brother iPad1.

A friend managed to get one through a business contact at the Apple Store so has no need for the one he ordered online so I decided to cancel the one I'd ordered with the engraving (wasn't confident it would arrive by my wife's birthday) and will buy his when it arrives instead.
His is also an ATT 3G 32GB, ordered on 3/11 with an estimated 4/6 delivery but, like mine, is scheduled to be delivered on 3/29
EDIT: Interestingly, his is still stuck in HK even though it shipped before mine
