Mine shipped late last night after being prepared to ship for almost 48 hours. black 64g AT&T ordered at 4:40 pm PST on the 11th.

No movement over 48 hours since mine switched to Prepared for Shipment. 64GB Black ATT ordered at 11:27 AM PDT on 3/11.

Mines still sitting as it always has been, not shipped yet.

32 GB Wifi White with engraving.
Ordered about 6:30 pm PDT on March 11

32GB wifi (Black) movement!

If you see any movement with your order, let us know. I imagine that you're probably near the head of our respective pack!

I think my wife's order for my birthday present is ahead of DadofThree's--32 GB black wifi only, order placed between 7:00-7:15 AM PDT on 3/11 with an initial estimate of April 1 ship/April 6 delivery.

As of this morning, it has shipped! I didn't get any more detail than that from her though. I know that it had not shipped as of last night. So, looks like a new wave of the black 32GB wifi models is on its way. I hope all of you are in the same wave as me!

Now I just have to start trying to convince her to let me play with it when it gets here instead of waiting for my birthday at the end of April. :)

That's great news! Hopefully, she'll let you open your new iPad 2 when it gets there. If not, try the 'ol mopey-face, or the 'ol "I gotta check it out to make sure it doesn't have any manufacturing defects, scratches, light bleed, glue spots, or yellow areas on the screen." :)

While happy for tgewin, I grow ever more despondent that my black 32g wi-fi is the "unicorn" of ipad2s, as folks who ordered after me are now receiving their ipad2s. Mine is still out there somewhere in China.....:(

I will live obviously, but frustrating nonetheless.....

So no one had an answer as to how long it took for them to ship after pulling funds from your account? I'm sitting on two days of $530 pulled out of my account but no item shipped. It's becomming a little disapointed that Apple see's no problem in charging me for a product they aren't shipping.

I'm with you - ordered the black 32GB WiFi-only model at just after 1 p.m. Pacific, and my order status hasn't changed (shipping 4/1, delivery 4/6). For some reason, it appears that this particular configuration isn't moving. I keep telling myself that every day that does by is another day of fab experience by the factory and another day of reduced manufacturing defects and improved product quality.

I'm right there with you guys. I ordered at 7:22am PST and still have a status of prepared to ship. I got a 64gb, white, at&t. I must be the only idiot who order that combo because I haven't seen many others on here and it doesn't seem to be flying out the door very fast.

I didn't know anyone who ordered there's after Noon PST on March 11 that had received it yet. I've been following these threads pretty close. I know some have shipped but I didn't think they'd gotten here yet. Now I'm worried that if I do ship today it's going to sit on the island all weekend too.

Then you got the people who ordered after March 11 on here complaining they haven't gotten there's yet...wait your turn!

Still no movement for mine either.

Order Date: Mar 11, 2011 at 10:56 AM PDT
IPAD WI-FI 32GB BLACK-USA
Ships: Apr 1
Delivers: Apr 6

Hopefully soon?!?!!??

Now says shipped March 25th estimated delivery March 30th.

FedEx tracking says it's left the Shenzen, China facility.

As much as it sucks, if your estimated ship date is April 1, and your iPad hasn't shipped yet, you have no complaint, regardless of when others are shipping. I'm in the same boat. Frustrating, but there is nothing to complain about.

EDIT: Interestingly, his is still stuck in HK even though it shipped before mine

So my friend's 32GB 3G ATT Black iPad 2 (which I'm buying off him) was originally estimated to deliver by 3/28. That changed to 3/29 yesterday and now it's been moved back to 3/30.

Tracking info had it arriving on Lantau Island (on 3/22) before leaving Shenzhen which seemed odd. They've now updated that to say it left the factory on 3/22 and arrived in HK on 3/24. Strange...

Hopefully it takes a trip to Anchorage over the weekend :)

EDIT: Arrived in Anchorage this afternoon (no departure from HK in the tracking log, but whatever)

Are Apr 1 people still moving up?

After several days of people with April 1 ship dates suddenly moving up and getting shipped, has this stopped? Are people still seeing their status change on orders from March 11? Lots of us have heard nothing.

Order Date: Mar 11, 2011 at 08:12 AM PDT
Not yet shipped

Nope, no movement. I ordered the same model as you, and I haven't even seen a pending charge on my credit card.

k, thanks boss.

Still no change to my order status at the Apple online store, but a charge for the correct amount is now listed as pending on my credit card. As others have noted, a charge can be pending on a credit card for 1-2 days before any change in Apple order status.

My unit: black 32GB WiFi only, ordered 3/11 at 1:06 Pacific time.

If this was directed at me asking my question then I have this to say, if not well never mind then. :D

I don't care that it's not shipped what I want to know and am upset at is that they have a pending charge on my card for three days now with now product shipping.

When Apple charges your account

When you place an order, Apple will contact your credit or debit card’s issuing bank to confirm it is a valid account. Apple requests an authorization, which holds the funds for the full or partial purchase amount. Authorized funds will be unavailable to you as Apple prepares your items for shipment and may display as “pending” on your credit or debit card’s online statement.

However, your card will only be charged after your order has shipped. If your order contains multiple items and they ship at different times, you may see multiple charges on your credit or debit card statement.

If you cancel your order before your items ship, any authorizations placed on your credit card account can take up to 30 days to expire and any authorizations placed on your debit card account can take up to 10 days to expire. Contact your financial institution for their specific timeframes.

According to that my account shouldn't even have a pending charge on my account if it's preparing to ship, preparing to ship is not being told it's backordered and won't ship until April 1st. It's not right to hold my money nor is it legal. They need to prepare or ship me a product.

Did you pay with a Debit card or Credit Card. If you paid with a credit card then they aren't even "holding" your money. They would be "holding" the bank's money.

My status changed this morning to "Prepared for Shipment".

My card was charged on the 23rd. So about two days in between for that notice to appear.

Thanks for the info - the card I used isn't always timely in showing pending charges, so Apple may have actually submitted a preauthorization to my card for the amount a day or so ago. I wasn't watching this so closely early last week when my digital AV cable shipped, but I believe the final transaction date was actually the day it was shipped...
