Welcome to MacRumAdvertorial!
I think what makes this game a milestone for the iOS, is its depth. While I think Infinity Blade is a very fun and beautiful game, like most games on the app store, it still feels a lot like a "light" game compared to what can be experienced on other platforms. Aralon might be instrumental in finding out if larger games (lengthy and costly development) can be profitable on the iTunes store where, prices are low in comparison to console games.
Why a story on only one game? World of Goo came out for iPad today as well as a lot of other great games.
This is not an ad. It is showing the graphics capabilities of idevices.
I think it's actually illegal to receive advert money and not clearly mark the post "advertisement."
What a great... "rumor"...![]()
The next step, now, is to have Aralon's depth with Infinity Blade's visuals. And after that have it be an MMO...
Just stop the griping. The site's title is "All the news and rumors you care about"
It's news,get over it.
Don't like it?Get your own site.Or just don't read articles that you don't think should be posted.
The sense of whiny entitlement here is breathtaking. You don't pay a cent to use this site.Until you do,scroll past stuff that doesn't interest you or don't cone at all.
Since when is MacRumors posting gaming related news on the front page?
Our game iRequiem is also released today, why not post that news on the front page too?
This hilights my desire for some form of progress syncing between iOS devices, like iBooks does.
It's not all that much fun to progress on your iPad to a certain point in a game, and then find yourself at Whataburger the next day with only your iPhone, and have to start all over on the game.
This highlights my desire for some form of progress syncing between iOS devices, like iBooks does.

Exactly. With all the talk lately of "next-gen" visuals and "next-gen" depth, we could really use some "next-gen" features, like carrying progress over multiple devices. Or how about multiple user slots (especially for shareable devices like the iPad)?
It's quickly going from "would be nice to have" to "a big issue that we don't have it".
Maybe if gamesaves were stored in a cloud or something. Then you can load them from any device. maybe a feature that could be added to Gamecenter?
This.
I limed the whole quote for truth.
I do feel this is a milestone in terms of depth. I've longed for something like this.

Really what? It's $14.99 on WiiWare and $9.99 on Steam for Mac/PC and you are getting the definitive version on iPad. No one should be complaining about the price. Was excited when I saw World of Goo.
That waned when I saw the $9.99 price tag.
Really?
That's $5 too high in my eyes unless they offer something completely new, which I doubt.

So true. This is my number one request for iOS gaming.
Number 2 would be the ability to handle multiple save slots or profiles for all titles. Only some games allow this at the moment. Most of the time, if a friend want to try one of your games, he will either have to continue from where you left or erase your progress to start from the beginning.
The price range people are willing to pay on the iOS devices keeps going lower and lower.
