It makes perfect sense and sorry you don't see it, but at least I'm not the only one who sees it. Sorry I choose to mention macrumors, would you like me to post the exact article from a different group?

I would like you to post proof that the Jet Black model has more hardware issues the the other phones, with the same hardware.

I don't know where you keep bringing up hardware. I never once said hardware. Look at some of the posts on here...we have dust under the screen, a gap on the top of the iPhone scratches right out of the box. That is QC right there, if you don't think it is that is your problem.

Yeap just reread my original post and hardware was never mentioned in it.

Correct, so you think the QC issues have to do with the color of the phone?

I know it's correct, you keep bringing hardware into it and I never did. Everyone with the right brain mows the hardware will be the same. The color(scratches), the glue around the seams, the dust under the screens, the lightning jack and sim trays not being flush.

Lol, you are correct. And one day you will understand the meaning of hardware. It's okay, just keep bashing certain color of phones because you don't like them, think they have issues, whatever. Your world, just one day, I hope you learn a few things, especially what hardware means, but I guess it doesn't matter, the color of the phone causes issues.

If I'm bashing a certain color, I better return my current iPhone 7 plus, cause I'm bashing it..If I "so called" need to learn the meaning of hardware, you better learn what bashing is then. Cause I never bashed, but just stating what I see. We got a deal then?!? You come on my post with this additude cause I said something horrible about Apple and I'm suppose to take advice from you? That won't happen.

Of course I know that. I just find it interesting and I think Apple was in a rush to get them out.

This is about as stupid as it gets. The guts for the 7 and 7+ are the same and there is no reason to find more problems in one color or another. There might be defects in the case but not in the operation of the phone guts.

Selective reading and denial run deep in this thread.
exactly, did I say anything about the guts?!? No. glue on the seams are not guts, dust under the panels are not guts. Sim tray and lighting docks not being even against the phone is just a QC issue and nothing to do with guts. These people are really cracking me up.

Given reports that some people received phones well ahead of scheduled delivery dates, I suspect that they are.

It's not difficult to understand, nor are we making any leaps in logic. And as I said before, maybe we're wrong. But I keep skimming these forums, and the OPs point still stands.

As far as MR posting goes, there's a trend toward defect JB outnumbering defect any other color.

So while we may be incorrect, don't act as though we're coming out of left field.

Biggest problem with the JB is the deliveries! I wan't mine already.
I don't blame you at all.

Thank you. At least someone sees what I was trying to say.

That would totally explain why most of the "problem" threads you see, whether it be overheating, or creaking, or scratching, or screen issues, would never be hardware (being most of the people describing these problem phones seem to be jet black). Ever heard of production "batches"? They make so many silver onces, then gold ones, then rose gold, etc and so on. Jet black were the last to go to shipped status and many still waiting. The hardware in these phones could have came from a later batch of production parts or as has already been alluded to, they could be rushing these out the door due to overwhelming demand.

Ever participated in a TSB or recall from your auto maker? Usually it goes something like this, Part No. 2013425223 fuel pump found in 2011 through 2013 Lexus IS250, 350, RX450, ISF, and GS350 have been found to be faulty. If you have a listed vehicle produced prior to December 2010, your vehicle is not affected by this recall. Granted, if there is indeed an issue, that would actually require Apple to acknowledge it and not simply say you're holding it wrong. Samsung Note 7's for instance. Were all Notes affected by the battery issue? No. They deemed a certain production run faulty, but to CYA and come off as the good guys (honestly surprised me) they recalled them all. Not saying there is an issue with the iP7's or 7+'s, the OP, like me has been noticing a trend and started a thread about it.

It's not a far fetched theory that the OP is proposing.

is it just me or are most of the people on here who are having problems got the Jet Black color?

EDIT: I think Apple was in such a rush to get them out, there QC lapsed.

No, Most of the JB owners just have problems.

He's not saying that at all. The correlation is that the unprecedented *demand for that particular color*, might have caused QC on units for that particular color to be a bit more lax in the rush for Apple to get them out to people.

I dont think its an illogical possibility at all. Just interesting food for thought.

Some food for thoughts:
- users who buy silver, gold or rosegold dont make a big deal out of it. So all you ever read in new threads is black black black black.
- many users in this forum are OCD about finding problems with their phone.

is there many talk about defective phones? certainly. Is there a lot of threads just revolving around the color black? Indeed.
Though i wouldnt jump as far to conclusion that there is causality between the two

Possibilities to consider:
- The majority of users in this forum bought one of the black phones. So it makes sense that also most defective units reported in this forum are black
- some users report the color of their phone (black phone), others dont. => selective reading. You dont read about problems with the other colors because you dont read anything about the other colors in any regard
- users who buy the new colors are possibly more likely to a) search for problems and b) write about problems.

Absolutely not, read the threads here. The only problem that the JB has is wear and tear on the finish, and Apple warned everyone that this would happen.
