What the hell? I went down to Long Beach, their university, California State University Long Beach had the 24" iMac on display in their student bookstore the day it was released! It even looked slightly beat up, if it was brand-spanking-new I don't think it would've looked like that.

Perhaps it was the condition, but I came to the conclusion that it was too big and not quite as sexy as the 20".

I've been calling everyday since the release to the Stores here in Orlando, FL.

Still nothing yet... but they do have a "waiting list"

I will go and buy a 24" ASAP.

It'll be a week or two before Apple Korea even puts them on their website. And, it will be another week or two before they come up with a price. And then it will be another week or three before they are actually available to buy.

People in the US will be selling the used iMac before I can buy it new. :p

The MacPro is not here yet, but "may" be available in the middle of the month. There is no indication of BTO; none of the other Mac products have it.

Korea is a Mac wasteland. I live in a city of 2-3 million, and there is only one, little, crappy shop to buy Apple computers. They don't even have demo units for 95% of Apple items.

North Michigan store in Chicago has the 17" and 20", but no 24 as of yet. There's still no concrete timeframe, but I need to go down there tomorrow anyway, so I'll check it out and report back.

Any word on the Mini?

Just an FYI, the Kansas City store has both the $599 mini and $799 mini as of Saturday Sep. 9th. I did not ask about the iMac, but I am on my way down there to pick up my new mini so I will see what I can find.

(KC is usually behind the two coasts, so I assume most locations have the mini by now.)

Really:confused:

I wouldn't expect to hear that...I'll have to check it out myself.

Yeah, I don't know. It kind of looked like one big hunk of plastic to me. But it's quite possible that this opinion is only held by me.

However I'm a big fan of the iMac design and rave about it all the time, so...

Nothing there. They won't have it until sometime next week.

I called the San Diego Fashion Valley store last night and they said no new iMacs and no idea when they would be there. Go figure.

There were none at the Regent Street Apple Store in London when I went on Friday. I didn't bother asking when they were coming in as I was only really there to play on a Mac Pro with two 30"ers attached. It was so worth it. So, so worth it  .

singersongwrite, nice setup! That thing is huuuuge! And erm, do you live in the inside of a hollowed out tree? :D But anyway very interesting. Would make my 17"er look like my iBook.

STILL nothing in Tampa. For the hell of it I decided I'd call every store in Florida and the store at The Grove in L.A. and the SoHo store in NY (both the most popular in those states). There are no 24" iMacs ANYWHERE!
