Sorry. I’m not following. Maybe I’m just over-tired from having a five-month-old baby.
Enjoy, and don't wish any phase of her their growth away.

I have twins, and while it was a struggle in the beginning with them waking up every 3 hours around the clock, I would give anything to have that time back. I never wished it away, I made a conscience effort to enjoy every part of the growth, and they're 20 now. My point is, while some parts of parenting can be a struggle, relish every moment.

I haven't posted here in a while but I was watching Microcenter bundles for a while. I have been looking at the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, MSI Mag Tomahawk Z890 Max with 32 GB of RAM for $600 ($400 off), the 9700X with 32 GB of RAM for $500 with a motherboard I don't like, 32 GB of RAM and then buying the MSI Mag Tomahawk for $260, and the 9900X with the MSI Mag Tomahawk Max for $750 (includes RAM). What I'm observing is that the best values are unavailable, and that prices are rising gradually on the bundles. The main benefit of the bundles is that RAM is almost free. Best deals around but people are buying huge numbers of these things to keep them out of stock at Microcenter. This was happening with the M4 Mac mini and M4 Max Studio models for a while until they just are plain out of stock these days. You can order them at Apple but have to wait until July, August or later to actually get them.

So you can pay through the nose for the exact PC parts you want or you can wait one to three months to get an Apple desktop (I don't know what iMacs are like as I've standardized on 27 inch monitors). I've given some thought to just placing an order for a Mac Studio and then cancelling it if the M5 Studio gets announced next week. If they are coming out before the M4 would arrive, then I'm pretty sure that Apple would just replace the M4 order with an M5.

Grandkids.

I find that for this question form factor matters. In the notebook realm yeah Apple tends to be a better buy. For desktops not as much. It also matters what you are doing with the system. Creative work, is probably better done on macOS, where the opposite is true of gaming.

Windows gives you far more choice in form factors. If you want a 2 pound 14 inch laptop, Apple offers no such thing. Apple doesn't offer a 2-in-1. And Apple doesn't offer the variety of display resolutions that are offered in the Windows laptop market. You can also still get USB-A ports if you really want them.

And you can even get 17 and 18 inch monsters if that's your thing.

Content creation is often better on macOS because it has more high-end power and is more efficient but you can get this with a home Mac desktop and Windows laptop - you just have to do some of the work at home.

Yeah, my oldest nephew is 16 now. I swear I was changing his nappies just a few years ago! I realised how quickly they grow, and I don't want to miss anything. I'm not a hands-off dad.

Thank you, she is amazing, it’s fun watching her grow so quick!

That’s cool, I’m glad you have an OS you like, life is just better when you enjoy the tools you use, but I didn’t think the referenced post precluded that as an option, hence my confusion.
Yes, my youngest is 20 now. He has autism so he will be with us forever, he has seperation anxiety and things like that. I am working on getting funding to be paid to be here all the time with him. We are going through some rough stuff right now in life and it's hard, but we will find a way. I always do.

My oldest is 28 almost 29 this month and he's working with a company that produces health supplements. They were number 2 in sales for all of amazon for black friday. Duracell was number one, their product was number two. They have a private jet to fly to events and conferences now and everything. He's doing quite well.

It was only yesterday we were driving around with him to hockey tournaments. Now, he's grown up and enjoying life.

Appoligies to anyone if I have been short with any of you, It's not my regular personality. I am under ALOT of stress right now in all directions and coming here removes that for bit......I think....

That’s the thing I’m realising is how much you are always on. It’s relentless, your kid needs you, and it doesn’t matter how tired or sick you are, or how bad your chronic fatigue is kicking you about. When they need you they need you.

I really hope it works out for you! It sounds like you’re really going through it!

Wait until she's a toddler, there is nothing cuter on earth and a toddler girl there are so many cute hair styles and clothes out there. Toddlers also have no filter (or at least mine didn't) which makes everything even better.

My daughter is 21 and is medical school in Munich I couldn't be more proud of the fact that she made a plan then proceeded to execute it perfectly.

He's fine when we are with him. He needs one of us home all the time. As long as we are in the house with him, he's fine. he does not need for us to be in the same room, he actually enjoy's quiet time.
