They didn't say anything about AirPods 2nd Gen (classic design). Anyone know if they are still going to make them? The physical design sits better in my wife's ears, than the later design. Are they still going to make/sell the classic designed ones?

Seems like it would be an unnecessary expense for them to keep manufacturing an old product, when they'd probably prefer people to buy their newer, more expensive design. 🤔

They are no longer in the Apple Store so I guess not but still available an Amazon and other third party sellers at the moment.

I think many will be curious if they fit their ears like the Gen 2 which many of us still have due to the terrible bulbous design of the Pros and the Gen 3 that push against the back of the outer ear

it will be criminal if AirPods 4 don't have the fit of Gen 2. Gen 2 are the most comfortable earphones I've ever worn.

How will Apple handle replacements for people that purchased AppleCare for AirPods 2 and may need an ear
bud replaced?

They retain service stock for that purpose.

In the rare event that they ran out while someone still had AC, they're allowed to offer a substitution, so probably AirPods 3 or 4 depending on the situation.

Exactly ….. much the same as they do with all discontinued products still under Apple care.
