I bought a 360 because I was sick of playing CoD2 on a Mac while the rest of the world had been playing CoD4 for almost a year.

Best damn decision I ever made. Don't have to wait 1-2 years to play a "new" game on a mac platform anymore.

Now with Vuze (previously azureus), I can sink up all my itunes, vids and pics from my mac to the xbox and watch/play everything through my tv and media center.

Never knew Apple had the option of buying EA Games. Don't know what they'd do with them. IMHO, it would've been a giant waste, because Apple probably would have made them only develop games for the iPhone to sell in the App Store instead of games for the mac.

I thought CoD4 came out on Mac the same time it came out on PC?

Want to know why Apple "fans" could buy an XBOX (at least the originals)?

Because M$ lost money with every console sold...for years.

So, buying an XBOX meant taking money from M$.

And it's not like Sony competes with Apple, except in computers, phones, headphones, monitors, digital music players and software.

No, the Xbox is just using a (fairly) standard CPU and GPU. The PS3 architecture is frequently cited as being the reason why it's not doing so great (just look at the difference between Ghostbusters on both systems, and that's a new game).
It IS a good piece of gaming hardware. It's inexpensive to purchase, has fantastic online features and that lead everyone to purchase one, which then became another feather in its cap - everyone owns one.

The GPU in the 360 is more exotic than the GPU in the PS3...

From my understanding most differences between systems have to do mainly with RAM. As the 360 has more of it accessible than the PS3 does (in one large pool). Plus the EDRAM helps (up until you have to start tiling...)

Whoa ... the PC release was Nov. 5 2007.
The Mac release (wait for it, wait for it) was either late September/ early October (many conflicting dates) of 2008.
Nearly 1 year later.

I realize I could've bought and installed bootcamp, and a retail version of windows, but buying a console was ultimately cheaper.;)

A disease that EVERYONE has and it's always coupled with hypocrisy.

If by "EVERYONE" you mean "EVERY ****ING GAMER," why, yes!

There's a reason I refuse to play games these days...I refuse to be part of your filth.

I've been reading diifferent Mav-Gaming forums, and I can'[t believe how many Mac user say they have X-Box's... Do they want to support M$, M$ is evil!

I just like buying the best gadgets out there. The 360 is an incredibly fun toy. Plays great games, great online system to play against others and download content, and streams videos off of my laptop so I can watch them on the big screen. And now it has Netflix, too. Once they add Hulu I can pretty much cancel my cable subscription.
