I want to get a wireless charger for my desk at work so I've been browsing through Amazon. I noticed that all the stand options (vs. flat pads) are all made by these cheap no-name companies, that have 4-5 different versions of the same charger, or have big obnoxious letters on the pad that say "FAST CHARGING!"

I'm sure they all work fine, but I'd feel more comfortable spending extra to get something little more well built and reliable. So far, I've only seen flat pads from all of the major names. The one exception being the Samsung stand, but I'm not a fan of the circle shape and prefer the rectangle shaped ones. Something like this:

Are there really zero wireless charging stands with a rectangle shape that aren't just endless clones of themselves made by these brands I've never heard of?

Ha, I was wondering the same thing.
I got the belkin pad, it works fine - but only on my desk. At first I had it on my very small nightstand.. and two times that night, the phone FELL OFF! Probably it was wobbling around because of the mirco-electricity-vibrations until it eventually dropped. Very annoying actually.

Amazon is selling a refurb model of the Samsung wireless fast charger for around 22 dollars. Have used for several days and working fine for my iPhone X.

Ive bought 2 of the generic stands, one for home and one for work. They work great. No words show when the phone is on it.

What power brick do you use with these charging stands? Will the Apple 12w brick work?

No. They should come with one, rated for the correct power. The cheapies like the $12 ikea desk and the $40 iottie car mounts did anyway.

They arent necessarily 5v like a plug in direct to iphone. They might need more to drive the inductive circuit. The iottie car one is 9v. The ikea ones are 19v input. You need to use the charger they come with,

The RAVPower charging stand and most of the other stands do not come with a brick. That's why I was curious as to which brick everyone is using.

I have Both the Mophie and Samsung's Fast Charge that they had bundled with the Note8. Both Work amazing. The Samsung does allow me to prop it up or have it in landscape if i want to watch a movie while charging.

I purchased this RavPower wall charger which is rated at 24w, but that provides two ports. Since the X with fast charging enabled only needs 7.5w, this should be more than sufficient. Also, if you buy it together with the wireless charging stand, there is a promo code on the Amazon page for stand that gives you 40% off.

I dont think this is Qi Certified. Seller made a comment in the Q&A section that this is only for Samsung devices.

It says "Universal wireless charging support for all Qi-enabled devices." right in the description. I have one coming in tomorrow, i'll report back if it works with the X.

I’m using my generics , both regular and ‘fast charging’ with the 12W Apple charger. Haven’t tested the fast charger one yet to see if it really is, will discharge my phone today to find out

I have two of the Seneos, which I think are the "best selling" on Amazon. One for my desk at work and one for my nightstand at home. Love them so far.
