No. He means 9pm I bet. My apple store gets like only a few of each model everyday so I know people that have been there the night before like at 8 or 9 pm.

I think there are still lines even though the international launch has happened already. I lined up today at my local Apple Store at about 7:30am and there were about 30 people ahead of me, an hour later 30 or so behind me and I think they were all able to get iPad 2s. I was able to get the model I wanted, they hand out these cards at about 8:45am and then come back again to hand another card based off the model you want depending on the models they have it in stock that day. I was out of there by 9:30am.

Thought I'd give it a shot today...Got to the Palisades Mall at 5am and 7 people ahead of me.
Got fed up with the lines in the city, 14th street had about 25people in line, 5th ave had a line around the block (had 400 people in line at 630am yesterday), upper west side store had 5 people in line at 4:15...
The one challenging thing was it was 25 degrees outside.
Decided "screw it, why freeze my ass off when I can go to the mall and just chill out where it's warm and comfortable"
And for what it's worth, until the iPad launches in Asia, the scalpers will still be out in force...especially when that 1 person in front of you suddenly turns into a group of 5. I mean really, if you get up an hour ahead of me and plant your ass down to wait, more power to you, but if you're going to invite your whole damn village to come sit in line with you - we're going to have words.
Myself and 3 others behind me are taking pictures of the line and if any more "friends" come we'll just have to hope the apple guys help enforce the line.
Nice thing about the Palisades, it has a BestBuy AND a Target also, so that's at least one good way to hedge your bet. Who knows...All I know is if I'm going to gamble, may as well do it comfortably.

Confirmed they're getting shipments every day so line camping every day but Monday seems like the way to go.
I was 11th back in line after some of the flippers in front of me decided to give up their tickets, line was about 20 deep with a good majority of folks picking up 2.

About how big was the shipment Mocha? I have been looking for a 64 Wifi...
Went to the local Apple Store at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD. Got there around 7:45 and there were like 60 people ahead of me. It was a bust; they only got in like 15.
Don't quote me on this as I heard it from a distance but 4 16GB 3g, 10 64's wifis and maybe 20 or so 32gb wifis, so not a huge amount. The 3g's got soaked up by the flippers instantly, so if that's what you're after you need to be there earlier than them.
There were about 25 people in line by 7:30. Earliest guy got there sometime between 3 and 4am, flippers bout 5'ish...and what makes me mad (about myself) is that I was there at 4:30 but decided to sit in the parking lot for some stupid reason, it wasn't until I saw them roll in that I got out and got on line.
This was about as comfortable a way to shop in this sadistic fashion as you can come up with...The Westchester is an option also, but it's a bit of gamble, because the doors aren't always open, and if you make the mistake of being in the wrong parking tower, you end up racing the group from the closer parking tower to the store.
The one thing that they did confirm is that they're getting shipments daily, It was a Saturday so more people showed up but I'd imagine if you popped in during the week you wouldn't have to be as sadistic with your wake up times.
All in all cool time, met some nice people, and got what I was after.
