I fully agree with you (except for the fact that I think that the current beta still has bugs), but I really doubt that they're going to "solve" those problems for the iOS 10.0 release.

I doubt they'll change it too, but a boy can dream

I upgraded my iPad Air 2 to the second public beta and it wasn't long before I regretted doing that. The bugs I experienced were pretty minor but frequent and annoying enough to keep me from using that iPad very much.

The third public beta was almost perfect. It actually took me a few days to find any issues with it, and the only issue I found was that SpringBoard would occasionally crash when clicking on a notification that just came in.

I haven't had this issue yet on the fourth public beta and haven't found any other bugs that affect me yet. It already feels like a final build to me.

I have ample Apple Pay issues. One time it totally locked up Touch ID and I had to reboot. Today it said "you need a device to with Touch ID to use Apple Pay" which I do. On the second try it worked. But multiple tries kinda defeats the convenience and makes you feel like a complete tool. Also typing input is quite laggy on my 6.

Does anyone know if once gold master is released, do I have to remove the developer profile in order to upgrade to the public official iOS 10 or remaining on the GM is the same thing as the official release?

Reason why I ask as many others here I'm not really a developer, but was curious from day one and got the beta developer profile and have been since beta1.

You don't have to do anything except update if the official release ends up being a newer build number from GM. Though based on the past, beta for the next update will soon follow not long after. (iOS 9 I think I spent a total of about a week on official releases for the entire iOS 9 life cycle. Because there was always the next beta being released right after a new update.)

So if you don't wish to get 10.0.1 or 10.1 (whatever they decide to do after 10.0) then you could remove the profile after GM.

Jeeze, 11,000+ unread emails? That needs some serious attention :p
There are guys having even 20000+ unread emails. ;) Don't know how they can reach this number.

4 different accounts linked in there, lots of spam too.
Mine has 6 accounts and also lots of spam emails each day.
But I have a group of rules moving certain email to certain folder. Apple mail app only counts unread in inbox, not in folders. So I rarely have more than 10 unread.
[doublepost=1471526406][/doublepost]Lyrics in music app is still a hit or miss matter. Music app is still incomplete. Random bugs are here and there. There is still a long way to go before reaching GM.
Kinda reminds me a company which releases their software in beta throughout the entire year, and release an official version at the end of a year.

Somehow it seems quite likely that most of those things aren't going to be adjusted before the final version comes out (or even later).
When the first beta came out there were lots of posts ridiculing people who didn't like the design changes, saying there's plenty of time for tweaks. I wish I'd bookmarked them now so I could point out how little has changed...

Exactly. People don't seem to get that a Beta phase is not a continuation of development, but for testing and correcting the functionality that has been built.

We see tweaks during betas all the time. I remember button shapes changing between betas back in iOS 7. But yeah, the really big changes usually happen when X and Y change in iOS X.Y.Z

Generally speaking, but some development seems to go on (or at least getting wrapped up or adjusted) at times too, especially when it comes to major new versions.

It is aesthetics, but for a company that is obsessed with aesthetics, I would think it to be considered important.

I am sort of hoping this bug prompts them to just remove the dock. It is not like that opaque bar serves a purpose.
Better yet go back to an actual dock that you can see through and not a ugly block on the screen.

Yes of course, we don't live in a perfect world, but some people here seem to expect new features and additions during the beta phase as the norm.

I do not understand why people ask this question or have any anticipation for a GM. 1) It comes out at the SAME EXACT TIME every year. Near the announcement of the new phone. 2) you no longer need for the GM to be permitted to have any beta version you want. Even as an average Joe.

This question is stupid.

It's still early on Thursday. Could still come on Friday too. And the event could be later than the rumors/guesses as well.

Well. I think Apple already have GM on hand. How else they gonna load iOS Qp into iPhone 7 already manufactured and packaged.

They probably are. It takes time to load them into containers and ship all over the world.
We still have weeks to go though. I mean I don't really know the scheduling there, but seems like there's still some time for it all.

Apple ships by air, so shipping time isn't yet a factor. It typically takes around a month for a cargo ship to get from Asia to the US, including loading and unloading time.
