Me, my preferred dress is dark suit, white shirt and usually a dark plain tie. I might wear a pair of shades, and I might have a look on my face that implies constipation.
I think I've seen you!!

I wonder -
Does the OP believe in a Matrix-like world, that we're living in a simulation of some kind.
Or does the OP believe in that plus there being a "one", a Morpheus, an Agent Smith?
haha..
1) "one" = Neo
2) "many multiplies" = Agent Smith, iBlue..etc...all agents...
Did watching the Matrix inspire you to take this belief or do you use it as an analogy to a previously existing belief system for you?
Wow. You do.
I think you need help, I'm not joking now.
I believe in The Village , which far predates your precious Matrix.
(Normally, when we're not in the middle of a "special event", my avatar is The Architect and my location is The Matrix.)
It's a good analogy of my previously existing belief...
Maybe if you could denude your belief of the Matrix analogy (which makes it sound a little hokey and superficial), you could give us a clearer view of what you actually believe, which might make way for a more interesting and substantive discussion.
Found this link after looking at your question, http://atheism.about.com/od/philosophyofreligion/a/maxtrixbuddhism.htm. Hope that helps. I can't do better than that. Anyway, please bear in mind I am not promoting religion here. Religion or not, what matters is what we believe and no harming of other humans.
The movie(s) were great.
However, I don't believe it's actually real![]()
I also believe there are people from the future walking around our cities right now. If time travel is possible, there must be someone here from the future, right?
Couldn't even finish watching the third movie, sound asleep. The first one was great!
The second was a bit poor.
The third was, frankly, awful.

If you removed the "frankly" from the third line here, you'd have a haiku.
How do we know your not from the future trying to throw us off. There will never be time travel. Time travel is an extrapolation of General Relativity... a theory that is flawed in its interpretation of observed and measured properties of gravity & space. It is an idea dependent on the notion that space is a "fabric" forming a continuum with time. An idea that assumes IF one can exceed the speed of light, time will flow backwards.
Space will soon be shown to be a soup of inert singularities born of the decay of matter & energy particles... and acting more like a gas than a fabric. Everything observed by General Relativity can be explained with a different model of quantum gravity... but the extrapolations are very different. And old assumptions (like the immortality of energy) will fall away.
We are NOT being visited from the future, nor will we ever. The threshold of light speed can be circumvented via the manipulation of an object's "mass" (If relative mass is "zero" to the rest of the world [by masking an object's gravity], you can zip through space totally unimpeded at any velocity)... so it is possible that E.T. could come here for a visit.... within a few hundred light years, anyway.
Don't give up hope just yet. Read the thread a little closer. It's amazing that I didn't get burnt or flamed on this thread as I have feared the worst.
