Like others I balance between my Apple products, but I'm generally playing around with one of them.

...

I use it a lot more than my iMac these days (which is really just vehicle for burning movies and music for my iDevices now. Really amazing how much my needs changed once a decision prompted it.)

I love reading comics, books, magazines, watching movies, writing email and playing angry birds on it. Now it may be my only way of watching a show I no longer have access to thanks to a cable provider dispute.

I would be completely addicted if Apple had the keyboard smart cover. Once they release that, there is a strong possibility my Mac days are behind me since the few apps I've held out for are starting to show up on the iPad. As long as I can read on my iPad without trouble, it can only go up from here.

Nope, not at all.

I use it very sparingly and usually for some light reading or poker before dropping off to sleep. Oh and to stream content from my iMac or external HD to my ATV downstairs.

The devices that get a majority of my use is still my iMac, PC and GSIII.

My wife has a Verizon 64GB iPad LTE. In order to gain access to it to upgrade it to iOS 6 I had to wait up until she went to sleep (11:30pm), run an iCloud backup, run the OTA iOS 6 upgrade, then install all the inevitable app updates, and have it plugged in and charging on her nightstand before she woke up at 6:30am the next morning.

Needless to say it rarely if ever leaves her side.

Wow! True love.:)

I use a lot of my apple gear every day but don't think I'm addicted to it. To make sure of that, I try to set aside one day a week for a low-tech experience, which is nice.

It's not always the same day, and maybe not even all of whatever day I pick in a given week, but it's noticeably different and lets me more fully appreciate both the low-tech and high-tech modes of my life.

Probably the most-used piece of Apple gear I have is a first-gen iPod touch that I use to listen to audiobooks every night. It's still going... in an equally old Altec Lansing speakerdock that won't even charge later versions of that kind of iPod. Nothing fancy but it gets a job done perfectly well. Anyway I'm out cold in ten minutes so I'm hardly a demanding audiophile at the end of my day.

Between the MBA and MBP I'd say it's more the MBP as a workhorse, the MBA for entertainment or surfing. iPods, I love and have them all over the house and in the car. I seriously crave the latest one, just can't decide about the color. (Red) or maybe black...

The iPad I use mostly for magazines and books, movies, recipes, notes. I'd like a mini iPad, I think. Maybe more for movies and TV than for reading magazines where I prefer the larger iPad screen capacity. I got a Nook tablet to sort of get used to the reality of a smaller tablet. It's a nice reader and I got a few simple productivity apps for it, but of course I fantasize about having the features of my iPad on it instead of the Nook ones I'm not as familiar with. So to that extent I guess I'd say yes, I'm hooked on my iPad. I'm hooked on the Apple ecosystem of movies, music, books, apps and subscription data, that's for sure.

The iPhones I've had I have also liked a lot but since I live in a dead zone I don't get to appreciate the finer points of, well, phone-related features. The iPhone is probably a device I'd give up if I ever got an iPod touch with a camera in it. Probably easier said than done, however. I really do like that iphone 4S and use it all day long (the cam) to document my work as well as entertain me on the go. I like it well enough that I'm entertaining the idea of upgrading my second line to the iPhone 5. Not a sure thing yet...

My name is Bob and I'm a iPadaholic.

I have to have it by my side and in reach when I'm home.:D

I rembered seeing this thread a few days ago before i got my ipad yesterday and since discovering I can type ok on it thanks to the split keyboard function I've definately become a padaholic!:)

I sorta burst out laughing a bit tonight because my iPad has made me the happiest I've ever been! I even got the idea that I was kinda delirious like I imagin women get when they're having multiple orgasms! I nearly got rid of it today too for reasons I won't bother explaining. I've just renamed it from ipad437 to Jobsy after Steve jobsviously:)

not really. I only use my iPad when I am doing work outside my home or when I am starting to write a really long article. iA Writer is my favorite app. I also use it to play games. One thing that I am addicted to and appreciate till today, Every time I open my iPad is the new retina display. Man its so crystal clear. If you are an iPad user then you know exactly what I mean.

My iPad is my favourite tech device ever. I've used a lot of technology for many years, including sophisticated music technology and desktop and laptop macs since the technological Stone Age.

All the computers I have now have specific uses and they can, of course, do things the iPad can't but ...I use the iPad more than any thing else, it is always on, always with me. I love the Air too, but ... It doesn't fit in a Hoverbar (another cool invention) by my bed and in my car, and I still have to sit to use the Air, although not always at a desk.

I wish it could also be a phone ... With speaker phone obviously. I don't want to buy an iPhone but I will have to soon .. I'm not looking forward to that small screen. As for iPad mini .. Can't see the point of that.

Looking forward to iPad 4!

My MacBook Air is my money maker tool but my iPad is the device I reach for most for leisure activities. HBO GO, PBS, Amazon Prime Videos & Hulu Plus are just so much more enjoyable when I can watch curled up in a chair :)

I must confess:

My first Apple product is an iPad 1. I may never let it die, or give it to another person.

I actually abandoned it for awhile when I started an affair with a MacBook Pro, I fully charge it one day, and left it on the side table. In the end I gave the MBP to sis who's starting college.

And now I'm surfing the web and typing this post on my iPad. And I wonder why did I ever gave it up for MBP. The battery life is to die for. And the portability is so much better than MacBook Air(but both are different machines capable of different things)

Only thing is that iOS updates has made it slower, and more prone to lagging and slowdowns. Before this is was silky smooth. But the multitouch gesture of "Home" function and swipe to change apps is good.

Now if only I can wake the screen up by double tapping ala Meego Harmattan from Nokia N9, I won't even need the home button :p

I sleep and wake beside my iPad, hope that count as addiction :p

I must have some sort of tablet or reading device - I've given up on paper books forever. The problem is that the iPad is just a smidge too unwieldy to be my main e-reader. If the iPad Mini weren't seemingly imminent, I'd probably get a Kindle Paperwhite and then split my computer duties between my iMac, MBA and iPhone.

Having said that, I could never give this thing up. The retina display is definitely something behold. Just incredibly clear and crisp. I swear I will never buy another electronic device if the screen isn't retina.

Nope. But it's a nice alternative if I just want to do some casual web browsing.

When I got my second iPad I decided I try & see of I could use it as an alternative to my 11" MBA, for those times when I might want to grab something light, head to Starbucks for a beverage & do some writing.

After trying several keyboard combinations the one that works for me is the Zagg Folio.

However after one has used Mac keyboards on MBA's or MBP's as long as I have one gets spoiled. The shallow keyboard of the Folio is the best of the lot, but since I write alot, they're not really designed for fast typing which is understandable.

Great for light use by those with avg typing skills

Yesterday my dad was sat at his desk wAiting for his Windows PC to load up and he said 'go and get your thing'. I fobbed him off by telling him it was charging but what i was really thinking was 'No. I'm not having you chuntering at it yer miserable old sod!':D

I've become an addict too. My computer with a 30" monitor is 8' away from me but I rather lay in bed using my iPad 3. I've been really considering and waiting for an updated 27" iMac but I think that might not be money well spent. It might not get enough use to justify $1800. Might just go with a Mini instead. I'm addicted to all of my iDevices. I can't even watch a movie without using them while its on.

My wife and I have the iphone 4s and share an ipad2... might buy the mini as well :)
