is it free? and how much is undercover?

and i take mine everywhere, i have a backpack case for mine, and take it everywhere, i already have a few dings on it and had it less then a month haha

Good to know you use yours as a portable computer, but the dings would kill me!

I use it everywhere but I always have i in my hands becuase this world is filled with thiefs

My computer actually rarely sits on my desk and is almost always in my backpack. If I'm working in a public place I will always pick it up and bring it with me even if I'm going to be back in < 30 seconds.

I've travelled with my PowerBook G4 all over the place. Keep it in hotel safes when you're not using it and be judicious about whipping it out in public.

The only time I came close to losing it was in an airport in Moscow. The customs agents took quite a shine to it and were talking about a need to "quarantine" it. (Even though I was leaving the country, not entering.) Whaddya know, I paid a "fee" of 300 rubles (about USD 10) and their need to "quarantine" it suddenly vanished.

i got mine a couple of days ago. Its great im a PC user Switchin to MaC
and these laptop are delicate not like a PC where you can drop it.

I have not took mine yet anywhere

I don't have anything for mine except for a messenger bag I put it in, no cases, no other type of protection (and if I get a ding changes are Apple will need to replace the part within a year anyway since I had the pleasure of getting a sickly machine). Probably have logged around 20,000 miles with it next to me (a few trips to Europe and Back and it sky rockets ;)).

I have traveled with my macbook pro quite a bit. Besides with my previous dell I traveled with it overseas twice. I do not take care of my macbook pro as much as I used to when it was new. All I have a sticker on the front and 2 laptop bags.

what's the point in having a laptop if you don't use it as a laptop. i take my MBP wherever i go: i bring it to my workplace, have it with me when i go to classes at uni and i travel with it. bigtime.

i had like 50 trips this year already and i took my mbp along on all of them except one (wanted to do some partying in zurich, so the mbp wasn't needed).

i just carry mine in my backpack and it's fine. the only annoying thing is that you have to take out your laptop when you're sending your stuff thru the x-ray boxes.

I'm afraid to leave it in my car, so thats really what restricts me from bringing it places.
