Originally wanted: Black SS with black SS link band
Now considering: Space Grey Sport Watch with Black sport band.

Also considered silver SS with milanese loop. Also considered Edition with black sport band until the mega millions numbers were announced and I realized I wouldn't have a "huge pile" of extra money to spend on Apple watch.

I've also looked at other watches including Citizen eco drive diving watch $700 list, about $500 retail. While I might wear a diving watch a few times a year, I'd rather spend this kind of money on a watch that I could use every day and that prevents me hauling out my iPhone 6 as often. I think giving up eco drive is a huge sacrifice but I don't think I'll mind putting the watch on some sort of charging stand every night instead of simply tossing it onto my nightstand.

I was originally wanting the 42mm SS with Milanese Loop. Then I "downgraded" to 42mm Sport, buying the Milanese Loop separately (and saving a few hundred dollars in the process).

After all the reviews, I'm downgrading again to the absolute cheapest model (38mm Space Grey Sport) with no extra bands. This will let me buy in to the watch as a concept early on, and then if I find I like it, I can put the extra money I didn't spend this time around into the Gen 2 model.

Sticking to my original plan of 42mm SS with Milanese loop. The sport in some ways seems like the better way to go but considering I'm going to wear this thing at least 365 days means it's going to get roughed up quite a bit. Of course drops aren't very likely but I'm sure we will see hundreds of pictures by next year of sport watches that are dented and have scratched displays. $200 is worth avoiding that for me and will also help resale value I'm sure. Yes, SS will have small scratches but most will be buffed out easily. I'd rather have small hair line scratches on my SS then chips and dents on a sport model.

At this point I'm afraid I'll be so loopy at 3:00 am I will just go go completely nuts from being up at that time and from information overload and end up ordering the Space Black Stainless Steel link watch while my husband looks on in a mix of horror and amusement. I've never once considered that watch so it would be a very shocking and expensive choice for me.

While I don't sleep very many hours at a time I usually am asleep at 3:00 am. Since we have a total of three watches to order and don't know what to expect from the ordering process this time around, I'm going to be up ordering my own. I'm quirky at the best of times. 3:00 a.m is not my best time. I could end up ordering anything.

I hate the 3am start time on the East coast. I commiserate. I usually have to deal with that, but I'm in Silicon Valley this week, so I'll be doing the midnight thing, which is better, and yet not, because my body still thinks I'm on EDT.

:D

This is one of the few good things about living in the UK. We get to go to sleep at a civilised hour and also get up at a civilised hour before preordering. :D

Yes I switch from SS minlanese loop to Space Gray sport

However I will try SS in Apple store to see it's worth the upgrade (and return the :apple: Sport)

I agree. That is indeed an advantage that you have there across the pond. :)

Well now, I'd expect nothing less of the U.K.!:D

I'm envious. Bunnicula enjoy your stay there! Drop by and tell Jony to make the next one waterproof! :p
