Embarrassed by my phone? Ridiculous.

Embarrassed by my iPhone forum? You betcha.

Definitely.

And, I don't have one yet, but I won't be embarrassed. I'll just whip it out and use it how I want to...but I would be embarrassed with an iPad. That thing's just so big that it looks like you're using it simply to show off.

Actually, the OP makes me depressed with humanity.

It's amazing how people hear stuff from the media and repeat it like it's gospel. The majority of our civilization has no mind of their own. It's amazing we survived this long.

Side Rant: It's very similar to people saying, "I'm going to return my iPhone and get a Droid. I hear it's better than the iPhone." People will wander through life like cattle.

The iPhone and an Android based phone are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Anyone can pick up an iPhone and start using it. Picking up a Droid reminds of me using a phone from the mid-90s. People will use it because they have no idea the difference between phones. They will use anything that the media or word-of-mouth tells them to use.

I believe the reason so many iPhone users have turned into angry elitist attackers, judgmental people with superiority complexes, is the fear and discomfort they are experiencing due to Apples botched launch. When one is used to buying objects to be seen with. Products that make them feel good about themselves. This iPhone has been tainted, therefore the luster is missing. They've been embarrassed and they are determined to lash out at anyone that fails to sing Apples praises. Rather fascinating.

Nope.
I'm certainly not embarrassed and am happy to tell people that it's, hands-down the coolest phone I've ever used. I'm not currently using a

Some people ASK if there are really reception issues; I happily demonstrate the death grip and dropping bars, but point out that it hasn't affected any call quality or caused any drops for me...

I do get frustrated when people simply INSIST that the iPhone 4 is useless. They typically say things like "How do you like your phone that's not a phone? HAHAHA" or "That's a really fancy iPod touch!! derrrharharhar" because they've bought into the sensationalism of an over-hyped story without bothering to notice the 2 million + people who swear by their iPhones

...and pretty much without fail, they all seem to be Android users.:D

I actually love it, and I use the bottom left seam as a quick way to hang up.

Honestly though, I do LOVE it, and could care less what anybody thinks of my smartphone choice, plus, given that millions will own one pretty soon, that's a lot of embarrassed people.

Ps. I WOULD however be embarrassed if I were holding an iPad up to my ear like a giant iPhone.

Not only am I embarrassed for my iPhone forum, I'm embarrassed for people stil posting "cool story, bro" memes.

I definitely think there is a lot of defensiveness out three among iPhone 4 owners. You should have seen the reaction I got when I went onto my AT&T store to cancel our pre-orders.

Several employees who all spoke like they owned the phone, peppered me with questions as to why I was canceling. When I told them it was because of the various problems I was reading about online, one of them suggested a lot of Android fanboys were probably behind the complaints. lol

I just rolled my eyes and laughed. Nothing funnier than retail fanboys.

The First thing I always get asked when someone sees i have an iphone 4 is this: how do you like it? I heard it has antenna issues?
That's pretty embarrassing but more of an embarrassment for Apple.

Yeah- I am sick of hearing this too. I hear it all the time whenever someone sees my iPhone 4. While the phone doesn't define you, I must admit that it is getting to be a little embarrassing.
