I had 16gb iPhones before and was always shuffling stuff around and deleting apps to get by. After a short adventure with android (Oneplus 2 64gb) I rarely hit the 30gb mark. So the 32gb 7 would have been enough I guess. But then Apple pulled a fast one and made the Jet Black iPhone... So now I have 128gb (JB) of space of which 23gb in use. Still, I am future proof is terms of storage...

32 is plenty for me.. Have u guys setup a Google Photos account? Way better than the cloud of Apple and it doesn't eat up as much GB..

U guys need to flush your cache out and that will save u plenty of memory..

Massive overkill from me. It was the only jet black 7+ they had and I'd been looking for months. Got mine about a week ago. Freaking T-Mobile.

Hahaha my MacBook Pro only has 128 GB and i got over 60 GB free!

When I was in the store I had just enough money to get the 128GB or get the 32GB plus maybe a case.

I'm so glad I went for the 128GB as 32 just wouldn't be enough. I got the case a bit later on.

I might be the opposite i went for the 256 thinking i was going to put alot of lossless audio on the phone , but syncing music and using apple music don't work as well together. I think when i get an 8 i'll get 128gb, we'll see how much of the 256 i actually use

My Chromebook has only 16GB and I have 8GB free. I switched from Windows machines in 2013 and love Chromebooks especially those with a full HD screen.

This must be your first phone 'cuz surely you already know what you currently require, then double-it for a new phone?

Well it ain't my first phone ... I just always believe that when I replace the existing phone with a new one the then old one becomes my music iPod ... problem is I always just give the old one away ... we'll see what happens with this one, because a 32GB would have been more than ample.

I had a 16GB SE for a while... I could live with it but it would ultimately be a daily hassle managing storage.

I wasted money on the SE, really, but got a good price selling it when I got the 7.

I had the 64gb iPhone 6 because 16gb was too little. When 7 was announced I was excited I could get the 32gb version and not have to pay extra for 128. 32 is the perfect fit for me

It's funny how storage needs have evolved.

I bought a 128gb 6 before struggling to fill it, so downgraded to the 64gb. Opted for a 64gb 6s also which was plenty.

Now I find myself far exceeding 64gb on my 7, but coming nowhere near 256gb.

I can see capacities sticking at 32/128/265 for 3 years now, as these options cover pretty much every sane person on earth (who fills a 256gb phone??)

Those who buy 256GB knowing they'll use it.

Storage is one thing I can never have enough of (looks at 12TB server filled to capacity). :(

I can't imagine what I could do to fill up all that space. Lol.

If I had gotten the 256GB phone, I'd re-rip my CD collection as lossless, and sync it to the phone in its entirely.

My entire CD collection, lossless, on my phone. That's damn cool.

As it is I currently sync my entire music library to my 128GB iPhone. It's wonderful not to have to pick and choose anymore; it's all there. Every track. And no cloud bull.

128 GB iPhone 7+ Jet Black

I have almost 3,000 songs stored in the cloud from Apple Music. I could download them all onto my phone but then I would have to hit download on every single song lol. But I'm happy to not have to worry about storage issues anymore. 64 GB gave me enough but only had 10 GB left. I had over 2,000 songs on my iTunes library that I kept synced to my iPhone but I erased all of it because a lot of the songs were missing a bunch of info so I started over and downloaded some from Apple Music, which I'm not even close to being done yet. Lol.

I still have 106GB available on my 128GB 6s, and 42GB left on my 64GB SE.

I also have 50GB of iCloud storage. For $1/month, it's a no brainer. I could probably get away with a 32GB model, but for an extra $4/month (via AT&T NEXT) I opted for the larger capacity since I prefer having all my photo's stored locally on my device.

You bought your phone on a contract?

I didn't know people still did that.

My guy could fill a 256GB phone. Don't ask me how. He's got a ton of things like videos and games I assume. I gave him my 128GB 6s and he has like 5GB left. He's got over 100 apps installed. They're all in folders. I'm like.. At only 3 pages of apps, one junk folder. Haha.

They call it device installment plan nowadays instead of contract. :p

It's pretty much a 0% loan (with waived activation) so it occasionally makes financial sense.

16GB was never enough for me, I always upgraded the storage but 32GB is sufficient as I don't store music on my phones and have access to several cloud drives.

Coming from 5(16)/5s(32), I often fill it up either with pictures and videos (trips) or music (for occasions). That's why I always carry my portable Seagate Wi-Fi hard drive so I could transfer files.
Since the 7+ doesn't have the 64, I went with the 128. My portable hard drive now just stays at home.
I'm definitely satisfied getting the 128GB. No more additional bulky items.
