Im really thinking about it. However the only programs that I actually really want are Disco, ShapeShifter, and JUST MAYBE NewsFire.

The other programs are pretty much useless to me. NewsFire wont even come unless roughly 5000+ people buy the bundle by the end of the week. Luckily I have been keeping up with the heist each week, so I have a 10 dollar discount as of now. But... should I buy the heist?

Are you guys going to?

Beat me to it.

Man I was going to ask this as well.

Honestly the programs don't seem that compelling as you said save Delicious Library, Shapeshifter and iClip 4...and the reusability of Shapeshifter seems low. So I'm not sure. OTOH $39 seems reasonable for the number of programs you're getting. And I think it seems likely that they'll reach 50k (maybe not 100k) so NewsFire seems useful too (considering I'd like to use RSS I just haven't). That said, as a poor college student :)cool: ) I dunno if $39 really is all that reasonable...So like you, I'm on the fence. I guess I'll see how the week plays out (maybe I'll buy it as a treat to myself if I do well on finals).

Hmm...according to some posts on several forums it would seem likely that price is also set to go up in a few days...if that's true then now would be the time to decide and additionally to buy. Hope that helps anyone on the fence but leaning towards buying. Ciao!

BLAH!

I just read that there WONT be a 2 dollar discount for the 6th heist... and the possibility of the price going up? I guess Ill just get it...

Man, I really was hoping the bundle was going to have AppZapper. :'(

If TextMate wasn't conditional I'd buy it.

Meh... I think I just bite the bullet and buy TextMate by itself from it's own site.

I'm thinking about it, just because it's such a great deal...but I wouldn't use all of the apps, and the ones I would use, I wouldn't use all that often. So, basically, I'd just be buying them because they are "on sale."

I think it's a great idea, but I don't plan on getting it. Like others, I only really even vaguely want two apps (Disco and Rapidweaver for me). But I use Burn / Disk Util / Finder / iTunes happily enough, and I have iWeb and don't even use it... so I don't really think I'll bother. Sowwies! :(

If I didn't already have Rapidweaver and Delicious Library, I would buy it.

"informed"? hehe

Not really - my response is still "no" after checking it out. :D

if you've checked it out, then you've heard of it.

i'm not buying. i don't have a need for most of those apps and the ones i do i've found i can live without or have found a useable substitute.

I bought it for Rapidweaver but most of the applications seem at least somewhat useful, though I won't use Shapeshifter or NewsFire.

iClip could be useful during a project and TextMate would really be useful but I have the feeling that they won't sell enough of the bundle in time to give licences away.

I noticed that MacUpdate is running daily specials since MacHeist started. Maybe, shareware developers will finally get some monetary recognition.

Over halfway ($28,610 raised) to NewsFire being included but still a bit away from TextMate. However, there are 5 days remaining.
