Is there any way I can give someone my coupons off? I'm not going to buy the bundle but I completed all of the heists except 4, so I have a good amount off. I would just give out my account name and password to someone but the password is the same for some other accounts that I have...

Any ideas?

I would be happy to share also

Anyone who needs or wants my coupons is welcome to them. I only have $4 worth, but they are yours if you want. I guess first person to respond to this offer in the thread (please don't PM me for this) gets them.

You know, after being a bit of a smart aleck a few posts ago, I realized there was an app there that I've been thinking about getting - PhotoMagico. I'd held off because the price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay; but even if there's nothing else in the bundle that I want, I am willing to pay $49 for that app.

Is there any way to see how much they've raised for charity so far?

TextMate seems like something I've been looking for forever on the Mac and I'm a few versions behind on Delicious Library (but I can upgrade for $20).

If I could guarantee TextMate I'd jump on this ASAP, but I'm a bit wary at the moment.

It's at the top-right corner of the website. www.macheist.com

I'll take it! I'm gonna buy it, so why wouldn't I take $4 off for free? :D

You do realise that the Textmate license offered through the Heist is a non upgradeable license right?

Whereas Macromates has assured customers with full licenses (ie: those who paid the full 49 euros) that they will receive the free 2.0 upgrade next year that will be Leopard only.

For all those who are waiting on Textmate, just get it regardless of whether it is included or not. The more of you who hold out, the more you won't get it.

I don't care one way or the other since I've already purchased Textmate, and if I am that cheap there is always iSerial Reader :p, but the other titles that are included in the bundle, along with Newsfire which will most likely be unlocked by tomorrow, makes the whole heist bundle one hell of a good value.

I was so ready to purchase Newsfire a couple weeks ago but decided to hold off until after MAAD and MH ends, so glad I waited.

TextMate will be unlocked for all customers if $100,000 is raised for charities. As a customer, your serial number will be mailed once the quota is reached. Your TextMate license will be guaranteed free updates through version 1.x, and MacroMates will offer a steeply discounted upgrade path (of at least 60% off) to the upcoming, Leopard only version 2.

They're up to $46,317 for charity with just fewer than 4 days remaining, so NewsFire is almost a given now.

I can imagine that more of these bundles will happen in the future because it's much better than waiting for someone to click the Buy button on their software in shareware mode.

The trouble with that argument is that when selling your apps in a bundle or in a Zot the developer don't get as much money as they'd otherwise get. Nevertheless such events are very good for users, I spent so much money on software I'd otherwise not have bought because "it is on sale" :p

i bought it. wouldn't mind checking out RWeaver, but i mostly bought it for fotomagico. i create alot of slideshows and looking for more robust features than roxio's motion pics.

nice to see the donation. good to spread around.

not too impressed with the license key referrals with some of the apps needing up to 72 hours for dispersal from the various companies, but i used to work in software licensing so i get it :)

I know. You have to have money to save money.

I know that the developers don't get as much as if they sold it outright but a lot of times, they won't get anything and most money is made on upgrades, I'd say. Two weeks ago, I didn't know the majority of those software titles and I think most of them are pretty innovative, since I now own a licence to them. The U.S. market is huge and getting notice at MacRumors has to be really helpful, especially with any other sites. I'd imagine that the developer websites are getting a lot more hits than usual.

I just created my first slideshow in Fotomagico. I didn't do the audio right the first time (I missed the obvious, that you have to drag it to the timeline), but I got it on the second try.

A quick export to QuickTime and I had a movie ready for presentation.

Sweet, NewsFire is unlocked....

But man... I wish I can get a discount when I choose to not get the Pangea game. The game looks like crap, and is something that will go straight to my Trash bin if it ever somehow gets downloaded.

Sweet.

With Newsfire I just save an additional $18 that I would have spent 2 weeks ago ;)

I finally broke down and bought it, now hoping they make it to $100k.

I needed to update my Delicious Library, so that would have been $20 anyway, and as long as I find some of the other apps useful the $30 extra shouldn't be horrible. Of course Enigmo 2 is an addicting little game that made the decision a little easier....

We'll see if I manage to find the apps useful or not. If not at least I'm doing some penance for my college day piracy...

If you chose something other than Bugdom 2, I'll take it. I just got that with my bundle.

I'm impressed with these developers and the bundle is quite worthwhile, though I'm not sure that I'll use each of them every week.

Delicious Library made me smile when I could use the iSight to add a product. It even found a Japan-only DVD.

Everything looks well-made but I'm still unlikely to use ShapeShifter.
