I posted mine before. but I can't help but writing it again. I have used it 6 days. I picked it up last Saturday. it's been awesome. 4inch screen seems more brighter and bigger than iPhone 4S. performance is even better than that. the design is freaking stunning. it's very well made device that I can even replace my tablet by amazon kindle fire (old one). only thing I regret is that 32GB is not enough space. I thought I won't have any problem. but I have only 5GB left. other than that, it's almost perfect. I recommend everyone.

Wow really? Previously had an 8GB so this seems like plenty! What is your iPod made up of mostly? How many GBs of music & apps?

Like most people here, I have found it to be great. I'm actually upgrading from an iPhone 4; I decided to get a data-only plan with a 4G hotspot and use the iPod as my phone (with Skype & Google Voice). So far so good.

I'm planning to do this primarily using Talkatone. Question. Does the 4g hotspot give out location information for apple maps or Google maps?

Hotspot can't give out location info, because the location is always changing. iOS uses known fixed landline WiFi signals to determine your location.

Happy, yes, certainly. The increased RAM and processor capability seem to have brought the improvement in performance I was hoping for above all else.

The display looks surprisingly sharp and the difference in the quality of both front and rear camera compared to the previous generation is immediately easy to appreciate, even though the camera was only ever of secondary importance to me. It is far more impressive than expected.

Any complaints? Most would be with the new iOS rather than the iPod touch itself, though I'm not keen on the change in the device's volume buttons - not so easy to quickly use and find I need to adjust my grip on the device frequently. Wifi possibly seems to drop out more often, though not tested enough yet.

On another note, badly need a case and probably a skin for this now, because as handy as the loop may be it doesn't feel quite so secure.

Also in need of an untethered jailbreak to bring the iOS back to what I'm used to. [and properly benefit from the additional RAM.]

Trust me, when you start adding music, movies, apps it takes up a substantial amount of space... Not to mention photos and HD video. I had a ipt 4g 32gb before moving up to the ipt 5g 64gb model. I'm soooo happy I decided to put the extra money out for 64gbs. I have this thing fully loaded with over 3,000 songs, two fulll length movies and plenty of apps and I still have about 20gb available! Btw, after now having my ipt 5g for over a week, I'm still loving it!!!

The loop has slipped off my iPod's button twice now. Not while I was using the iPod, but when moving it out of my purse. Think I'll stick a small piece of painter's tape on the loop end next to the button to keep that from happening again.

The case I ordered can't get here soon enough.

I had the 64gb 4g before and I'm fortunate in respect that my music collection is only about 30gb (compared to some people I know its small!) so it's nice to be able to fit all of it on. My broadband isn't really up to using iTunes match so this works for me also.

The only thing is, it's taken all day syncing across 5,000+ tracks, I've not had much chance to play with it yet!

I can't imagine having to sync 5,000+ songs! Good luck... Oh and I can relate to not having much time playing with the new ipt. Right now, just listening to music. Hoping this weekend I'll get more time with it :)

That is cute. I'm tempted to order a leather case from a company selling thru Amazon. Nice price and it's pretty close to what I've been looking for.

I really like the device (upgraded from 4g). Its just iOS 6 that I'm not too happy with .

I don't know what it is about it... but I actually like it a bit better than my iPhone 5. I am happy with the blue/white 64gb model I picked. I have no issues with iOS6 and don't get all the whining about it. I've had ZERO issues with it.

If you are on the fence, go for it and I think you'll be glad you did.

Mine is perfect right now ***knock on wood*** but I've been keeping it in a soft pouch until I get it in a case.

I have turfed out my sgs2 and am using my official Samsung wallet for now. Sgs2 is going naked until I find a case but the back of that is plastic so it'll cope!

Just out of curiosity why did you get the iPhone 5 and a iPod Touch 5G?

I use my phone alot for making calls, texting, checking emails as part of my job. I initially tried using it for music and other things, but the constant ding of email, text, and phone calls was just too bothersome. So, I decided to get an iPod Touch 5 which now gives me the ability to listen to music totally uninterrupted. One other advantage that is has given me is sort of my quick snap camera. I also keep other personal content on there that I wouldn't ordinarily keep on my work related phone. So having two devices just works for me.

Good point. I can see how that works and thinking of it makes it tempting to do the same for my self. I'm self employed and having my cell on me while trying to get away from work by listening to music can be difficult when you're constantly being interrupted.

I upgraded from a iPod Touch 4th gen and I really like it. I just got it today and love the fact that the screen is the same as the iPhone 5 (clarity and colours are much better). I didn't really think that the extra height of the screen would make much of a difference but I'm used to it now :) Now I kinda want a iPhone 5 :p It's also a lot faster than the 4th gen

Not sure if it's just me but the speakers are also a lot louder too.

Since I have lived in Seoul, there are so many free wifi whenever I go. I can easily connect anywhere. It is almost like cellular signal. I feel like touch acting as iPhone.

Love it but it gets warm!

Yes I totally love mine! The colours are soooo vibrant and the camera is way better then the 4th Generation.I bought a small zipped camera case in Canada Walmart for about $20 to hold it in and it has a tiny zipped pocket on the side.Perfect for ear phones. It fits all iPods and everyone who sees it thinks its a brilliant idea! I am a bit worried that it gets quite warm after using it for a while,I hope it's not going to effect the longevity of the product!! It's worth every cent, I download from BBC iplayer and watch some fabulous documentaries etc Why get a iPad mini its still a bit to big for handbag, this it the way to go unless you read books which I do t recommend on this device although it is possible. Another point if you want to get one! In my opinion go for slate/black over the others if you enjoy watching movies like I do. The white border is quite distracting.
