Having had The gold max for two weeks now I did like the size of the 12 pro better. The 6.1 felt perfect. And because of the compactness the gold looked BETTER on it. If that makes any sense. Now that we are mostly at home these days I’m usually always on my 11 inch iPad Pro 2020. I really don’t need the size of the max. Having said that I’m still undecided on if I’ll keep it, trade it for a PB max(since you like your color so much lol) or go back to a gold 12 pro. I’m all over the place. Like I said in other threads, I have until January to make a decision

This was unusual for me to get a color other than gold or silver, but I really love this pb color. I used to love colorful flashy cases but now I only like clear cases. I have 2 peel clear cases coming sometime next month. I love this phone so much that if Apple don’t come out with something better next year that I like, I’ll keep this phone until 2022. The size is perfect for right know and don’t feel any bigger than my XS Max. If Apple were to increase the size to 7 inches, I’ll be the first online to order it. Ordering through Apple went great even though I couldn’t get in for the first 10 minutes.

I had the 12 Pro for about ten days then sent it back with every intention of getting the standard 12 and saving a few quid. Then I got my wife a 12 Mini, was impressed with it and ordered one for myself. I have to say that after a couple of weeks of using it I'm completely converted. I've got used to the smaller form factor, and here's the thing, the 12 Mini should have been named the "iPhone 12 Tardis Edition"
Camera is great, I'm not missing the zoom on the Pro, I'm really surprised at the battery life I'm getting, it easily lasts me a day with 25% left at bedtime ( 13-14 hours )
I sometimes get that little "heart attack" moment when you touch your pocket and think Sh*t, I've lost my Phone !!, only to dig around a bit more and breath a sigh of relief when I realise that It's still there.
What I'm trying to say is, if in doubt give it a go and give yourself a couple of weeks to get used to it.

Have the 12 Pro for a month now and like it, but been beating my head about trading it in for the 12PM..Decisions!!!

I was coming from an iPhone 11 Pro. Tried my friend’s 12 Pro and the difference in size over the X/XS/11 Pro was just slightly too much for me to bear. X/11P was about the perfect size, but anything bigger than that is too much. I felt the same about the XR and regular 11.

So I landed on the 12 Mini. Had it for a few days now and absolutely love it. Battery hasn’t really been an issue. I think this is the new perfect size for me, with a minimal amount of trade offs over the Pro model.

I had an 11 Pro model last year. Dropped some weight & the telephoto lens to go with the 12 this year- then tried the Mini and I'm set! Even with large hands I prefer the smaller phone in every way. The battery not an issue for me. Happy to be back to a decent size phone- they got ridiculously large IMO.

The iPhone 12 Pro is a nice median for sure between the Max and Mini! I’ll be deciding soon which model to keep either the Max or 12 Pro - tough tough choice !

Speaking of thinking you forgot your phone, that happens with me a lot with the iPhone mini. Lol A lot of times I don’t feel it in my pocket. I don’t really get too worried as I have my Apple Watch (cellular). I really like my iPhone mini.

I like it that it works well with my Garmin too. I can read text messages and get notifications etc. I was working at the dining room table yesterday when my daughter messaged me, first my iPhone mini pinged, then my Garmin watch buzzed, the message also popped up on my MacBook screen and finally the iPad joined in 😁

I have to make good decisions on a daily basis with my job so that translates to personal purchases too. I decided before I received the iPhone which model I wanted and was sure of what I was getting before money left my account. Saves a lot of hassle in the long run and I could t go through what some do that I see on here.

I'm not sure about the size, but I'm picking up my 12 Pro Max this coming Sunday in Graphite. I really wanted the Pacific Blue, but its just not available in 256GB for in-store pick up. I'm hoping the Graphite is different enough from the 4S Black I once owned. I really wanted a different color from past iPhones I've owned. Will Apple exchange it for a different color if I don't like the Graphite. Apple won't even let me inside the store for a few mins. just to see the colors.

I went for the 12 Mini, awaiting it for many years. Last years I had X -> XS Max (XS short time) -> 11.

And as much as I LOVE the Mini and will never give it back, I still love a larger screen from time to time. Thought about a second normal 12 but I guess I am the only one not into the OLED screens that much. I LOVE the 11 LCD screen. So much less washed out than any 11 Pro/12 I have seen and really cooler color which I like and easier to read.

So best thing is using 12 Mini as my main device, I LOVE the new modem. So much better stable connection in low signal areas. And instead of selling my 11 I will keep it as my second device. When I'm into having a bigger screen I will just use this. Worth the 500€ saving over a new second device normal 12 with better modem and lighter weight.

But the Mini is just super perfect for me. It is so light compared to all other Flagship iPhones but not too light so that it would feel cheap or easy to slip. And the size fits good in my small hands. A dream. So worth it imo. They have done some amazing engineering here. That is why the Mini is so worth 800$/€. THANK YOU APPLE!

Lol, my husband and I carefully selected one another for a relationship spanning more than 30 years.

After a year of saving and research, I carefully selected and have driven one car exclusively for 25 years and still have it!

Having to be extremely frugal until recent years, I always made sure my clothes and dress shoes and accessories are timeless classic styles that I can keep for a lifetime.

I got 8 years out of an IBM 286 desktop that was second-hand! My MacBook Pro is from 2011. I stay with iPads until they stop working.

Then 2020: After hours of reading rumors, leaks and taking in all the usual info, I ordered a Pacific Blue 12 Pro. It caused me hand and eye strain so I returned it. Ordered Product Red 12, returned it due to random overheating and the display causing eye strain.

Ordered a green 12 mini, well suited to my purposes and is a keeper.

For my second line: 12 Silver 256 GB silver Pro Max, ordered then cancelled when I changed my mind on color and capacity. Currently there is a 512 GB Gold Pro Max ordered for my second line, replacing a Samsung s20 purchased last winter, which was supposed to be traded in for the mini, but I decided to keep.o_O

(Edit to add: yes I know it’s heavier than the 12 Pro that strained my hand. But I also can hold it differently. The weight distribution is better for me. I have been using my husband’s 12 Pro Max and love it.)

I blame Covid-19 and murder hornets! Actually I should probably blame it on the election year because the last year I churned through so many phones was the last presidential election year.

That wasn’t entirely my fault, that was the year of the Note 7 and after recalls, Samsung qc issues, and loaner phones, I ended up with 2 Note 7’s, 2 S7’s, an S7 Edge, an HTC 10, an iPhone 7 Plus.

12 pro --> 12 --> Mini --> 12 pro --> Mini

Normally not this indecisive, but Apple's lineup this year has more trade offs than previous years IMO. Ideally, would have just loved a 12 pro that was in the same form factor (but lighter) than the 11 pro. Give me the RAM and better cameras and I'd be set.

I've found the 12 pro is a little too unwieldy to use. The 12 is a weird in-between. The mini's form factor is great and I'm hoping to live with the reduced battery life.

Depending on which apps you use, a lot of people are well able to get more than 6 hours on screen time with the mini :D. Unless you live on your phone and use it as much as you breathe, you may well be fine with the mini.

iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have no regrets. I just wish I did not have to wait so long to get it. I’m very impatient. I honestly wouldn’t mind the phone to be larger as well. I can certainly get by with 7 inches.

I have finally settled on the 12 Pro (didn't go Max!) because it was just too large for pickets and hand actually and when in grocery stores... beautiful phone of course, just too large, therefore settled on the silver 12 Pro (its a beautiful looking phone) and I my opinion he perfect size, not to big, not too small! 😉

Got the 12 Pro first then returned it for the Max. Happy with my decision. Yes it’s big and uncomfortable sometimes but I love it. And if for some reason I change my mind I have until January to return/exchange it due to Apple’s extended holiday return policy so I have nothing to lose.

I’ll tell you this, at least for me, the regular pro is the best size for portability and handling. What ruined it is the smaller battery capacity compared to last year. If they fit in a 3046 mah battery in the 5.8 inch regular 11 pro then why didn’t they at least put in the same or a little more for the 6.1 inch regular pro this year? Oh well, I’m staying with the max and we’ll see what next year brings
