I’ll tell you this, at least for me, the regular pro is the best size for portability and handling. What ruined it is the smaller battery capacity compared to last year. If they fit in a 3046 mah battery in the 5.8 inch regular 11 pro then why didn’t they at least put in the same or a little more for the 6.1 inch regular pro this year? Oh well, I’m staying with the max and we’ll see what next year brings
Yeah I hear ya BUT real world with my new 12 pro (keep in mind I just had the Max) at the end of the day I’m at 70% what else could one ask for ? I get with the PM it was about 79% but hardly a huge difference. Definitely enjoying the beautiful form of the 12 pro!

iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have no regrets. I just wish I did not have to wait so long to get it. I’m very impatient. I honestly wouldn’t mind the phone to be larger as well. I can certainly get by with 7 inches.

I wish the Pro Max was bigger. 6.7 is still too small for me but it’s the biggest size Apple offer in a iPhone, so I’m going to keep using it.

Still can’t decide between 12 mini and 12. Coming from XS, main concern is battery in longterm, not visibility (no problem with my eyes). Mini is gorgeous to have in hand but still not convinced that is the right one for me. 😩

Only way is to try one, then return within return window if it’s not for you. I have the regular 12. I use reading glasses so visibility is an issue for me. When I heard about the mini, I was very interested in it, but never tried it out, kinda wish I did, but really the 12 fits all my needs.

Can't vote cause I didn't upgrade this year yet, but I find it cool that this year Apple has four new offerings. Pretty neat compared to the days when you had one iPhone, then later on when your option was a big or small.

Still loving my decision to return my 12 Pro and get the mini instead. Perfect size, perfect weight and the battery life for me is a non issue.

Happy with my regular 12. Came VERY close to going for the pro max this time around. I do think once 120hz comes around I will go for the big boy 13 or 12S pro max. But happy with the standard 12 for this year.

It would be so much easier if they didn't. Normally apple pride them by taking the decisions and limit customization to make things simpler. I have a 12 pro and would be so much more calm and settled if mini and Max didn't exist 😀

Picked up a 12 Pro Max and as much as I love it, I hate it. It's heavy. I'm within 2 weeks and thinking about going Pro

yea sometimes I wonder if mini would've been better route for me than the regular 12 pro but in the end the added battery life, telephoto, Pro construction (could be seen as pro or con, I see as a plus, since the regular reminds me more of like XR I had and every other iPhone notwithstanding X - some kind of variation from the norm), brighter screen (ymmv, panel lottery, but in theory higher brightness and in practice if you win the lottery) and 6gb of ram make it worth it to me and I justify it as 'the smallest feature rich iPhone'. If there's ever a mini pro, I will have to give it serious consideration.

Plus I still have my SE2020,

So I guess the Pro Max is certainly not for me. Especially the flat edges and bigger size than 11 Pro Max. Would feel unwieldy. I probably could've managed with the 6.5" XS Max / 11 Pro max if I had got one then. Still, the 6.1" is one hand able in certain situations

tl;dr I think I picked the right model for me

No regrets on my 12 Pro. I considered the 12 mini, but ultimately decided on the pro. The mini is compelling, but I felt I would regret not getting the pro as the physical size wasn't that much different than the 11 pro I had.

I wish Apple had kept the 5.8 inch screen and shrunk the overall size as they did with the 6.1 inch screen. That would have been perfect in my opinion.

Got the 12 Pro first then returned it for the Max. Happy with my decision. Yes it’s big and uncomfortable sometimes but I love it. And if for some reason I change my mind I have until January to return/exchange it due to Apple’s extended holiday return policy so I have nothing to lose.
Update: Ending up returning it. Even after using it for over a month I just couldn't get used to the size and weight. I'm using my 11PM now and its way more comfortable to hold.

Wasn’t an option for me but I’m happy with my SE2. I do miss gesture navigation a bit but not $300 miss it 😂

After owning 8+ for 3 years I went for 12 Pro for better ergonomics. And I’m very happy to have top specs in a bit easier to handle form factor. Yes sometimes I still eye Pro Max but each time I reach for my regular Pro it gives me this feeling of comfort I can’t give up at this point.
So except for some FOMO on bigger screen, I’m very happy with my choice.

Been using the 12 64gb since release should of got 128, don’t not like it but miss a few things my 11 pro had, mainly screen brightness and telephoto lense, main reason I swapped was lighter, new design which I like, bit bigger screen and all black, but some of those things seem to matter now, with a case and my usage of mostly in car or office.
It’s a smudge magnet too which I didn’t think of and the sides are slippery with no case.
Didn‘t cost me anything as I sold the 11 pro 256gb for what I got the 12 for.

Today I picked up a new sealed 12 pro max 128gb for $450AUD off retail, was too good a deal to pass up, haven’t opened it yet still sitting on my desk, can’t decide if to keep it or flip for a tidy profit lol.

Don't get me wrong, I love the screen size and the battery is really great too, but it's the weight that makes it awful for me. I wear athletic pants/shorts mostly when I'm off duty and having this thing in a pocket is not so good. Same with my 11 Pro Max, I loved it, it's a fantastic phone, just way too heavy.

I'm completely satisfied with my 12 Pro Max. Just upgraded last night from a XS Max. For a while I was leaning toward the Mini, but once I saw it in person, and was able to hold it, I decided that it probably would not be in my best interest. Don't get me wrong, the Mini was very nice, but not sure I'd be the happiest with that decision.

Coming from my x the pro wasn’t enough of a wow factor. Returned for the max and it’s the absolute best decision I made. Love this new/old design of the squared off edges!
