Are you happy you upgraded to 4.1?

well i just updated to 4.1 jailbroken/unlock and updated cydia essentials and i barely used my phone for 30-40 mins and im down to 93%, does that look right? this feels like how it felt when i was on 4.0.2 jailbroken/unlock.

Did you restore to backup, if so, that will kill the battery life almost every time. It's a pain, but you gotta choose set up as new and do everything all over again for a clean upgrade/jailbreak.

I am very happy with my iPhone 4 on 4.1. I am enjoying the Game Center and the HDR is quite nice. So far no issues using Limera1n.
Battery life seems the same.

Being able to skip tracks in the iPod app using my bluetooth headphones was worth the upgrade. I haven't used HDR yet, and don't play a lot of games, so no comment on those.

I'm very happy with 4.1. I can finally talk on the phone without my cheek hanging up on people. That was my biggest and really only issue. My biggest non issue but request was AVRCP. Those two things made me upgrade to 4.1 the day it came out.

As far as unlock / jailbreak. Honestly 4.1 made me not really care about jailbreak any longer. I've been jailbreaking since it first came out. Granted I used limera1n and jailbroke. It's more now I do because I can, rather then before where I felt like I needed to in order to get features the phone lacked.

Sure there are some great tools not included in the phone: quickreply type apps, etc.. Other then if you need to unlock I don't see it as a must have anymore though.

i updated to 4.1 from 4.0.1 keeping my old baseband (for no other reason than resale value.. dont need the unlock) with TU and started as a new phone (didnt restore from backup).
I was having battery issues (got through the day mostly.. just not as good as i was expecting) at 4.0.1(even with downgraded mobilesubstrate), but now it seems to be much better(newest version of mobilesubstrate). Usually make it through the day with 40+% left when i pass out at night.

I even installed lockscreen app and a weather plug-in expecting it to kill my battery (with updates on the hour) and it hasn't. Im really impressed.

as of now, it was a light day of usage(busy at work)..prob 25 texts, 30 mins of 3g surfin, 25 mins of phone calls, 10 mins of games (2hrs, 6 mins of usage)) and im still at 62%, and its 9:45pm. Took it off the charger at 8am.

In my opinion, it was totally worth the update there. HDR and gamecenter... whatever, cool to have, but battery life is win.
Im coming from 4-5 days of life on my old e-71x that died on me. It will always have a place in my heart :'(....
