I'd say I'm pretty good, far better than a year ago. I eat much more and better, and go to the gym regularly, so I'm pretty happy at the moment. I don't drink much and don't smoke at all either.

Am I Healthy?
I could do with losing about 170lbs and a flight of stairs leaves me out of breath, you do the math.

I'm reasonably healthy.

I don't do much to keep a healthy diet. I usually eat whatever I feel like and that includes chocolate, fish, meat, vegetables, fruit (sometimes) and McDonalds, so I think I get all the nutrients I need.

I don't excersise regularly, but I commute to work and that includes over 40 minutes of walking every day, and I also do excersises when I wait for some kitchen appliance to do its thing.

I say I'm pretty healthy. I do gym at home, go jogging regularly and have gotten into Karate. I even do some sports on the occasion's that a game is scheduled by my mates. The only thing I need to improve on is my dietary intake of fruit and vegies, although I don't think its that bad as I don't eat junk food daily.

High School I ate properly, journalized all my protein intake and all that stuff. Worked out 6 days a week, played provincial basketball. Then I blew out my knee and got depressed for a while and I put on a bit of fat. Now I'm in Uni and I started hitting the gym again, I'm a healthy guy, but Uni life is much harder to keep up on the proper food, its all about the quick fix when your on the go, and your ALWAYS on the go. Hopefully I can get back down to under 7% body fat within the next year though

yep, I'm all around healthy. I don't eat as well as I could, but not terribly, either. I've been a runner since I was about 12 years old, so I've got the exercise covered. Also have no real unhealthy habits, and I generally take care of myself.

Personally, I feel like crap when I eat badly and don't exercise. My body just doesn't like it, and I start to feel sluggish, irritable, and uncomfortable. Being healthy just feels soooo much better!

could be healthier, but not too bad.

i'm probably 10 pounds or so over what i'd like to be, though i weigh less than i used to. i play indoor soccer twice a week and pick up basketball once a week. i run probably 3 times every couple weeks spread throughout the other stuff, along with the occasional non game soccer day...

i am vegetarian which helps in some ways on the food front. i don't limit what i eat too much besides that, though i generally don't really eat "desserts" except occasionally. my main food weakness is popcorn, which i probably have 4 or so times a week. sometimes it's microwave and sometimes it's stove top with my own determined level of salt and butter.

I was chugging along just fine with a reasonably healthy lifestyle, and blessed with an ectomorphic (lean) body type. Then in January I was hit with a huge health issue that came at me like a bolt out of the blue. It landed me in the hospital for a week and major surgery, from which I will be recovering for some months. So no matter how well you treat your body and your mind, don't take your health for granted, is the wisdom I can add to this discussion. You just never know when fate is going to hand you the old rubber pickle.

Need to lose 40 pounds, but still pretty athletic. Don't quite have the "ups" I used to have, but still pretty darn quick on the soccer field and in foot races. The fact that two runs leaves me on my back gasping for a breath would indicate I could live a much more healthier lifestyle. Starting to eat better and need to start an exercise plan...Part of it is lifestyle (too much commuting) and the other is pure laziness.

Guess thats my long winded answer of No...

I think I am probably above average on the healthy scale. I eat a very balanced diet (mainly brought with me from my mother) and exercise often through running.

I am also a wine enthusiast, but don't drink to excess.

Since I am allergic to many things in Texas I have developed asthma, but it is under control.

I would say that I am slim --> athletic.

Sometimes it's hard to do though, especially when stressed...

I also probably drink a few too many cups of coffee in a day...I'm about to go grab another right now...mmm....coffee.....;)

I eat pretty good (apart from my excesive chocolate intake, but hey, I'm a girl.)
I'm a social drinker and would never smoke anything (stinky :( )
I usually excercise but not alot lately except for rock climbing once or twice a week.

I think the BMI is full of it. I challenge anyone to come up with the logic behind its system.

The more tissue you ad on,whether it is fat or muscle adds further stress on the heart. As well as your joints, bones, lungs etc.

I am an athletic build. I eat constantly and varied but my weight doesnt change. I do not eat fast food, candy, and dont drink pop. I cannot have anything with caffeine. Im not skinny nor ripped. I run frequently and my job is very physical. I love playing soccer. I havent gotten even a cold in a few years.

I consider myself quite healthy, but probably a bit too anal about diet and exercise... I beat myself up a bit if I don't go to the gym 5-6 days a week or eat something "bad". I guess I'm just trying to take it to the next level because I've recently gotten into backpacking/hiking. I hope to move to Colorado soon and want to be in great shape to tackle those 14-ers. :)

I only get sick about once a year, and the only real health problem I have is this stubborn, inexplicable anemia, for which I have to take iron supplements every day.

I was actually rather unhealthy back in college though... about 25 lbs heavier, drank WAAY too much, even smoked cigarettes, which is unfathomable to me now. Finally cleaned up my act about 7 years ago and feel a heck of a lot better. I still enjoy a cocktail and some good wine on the weekends however... that's probably my biggest vice, and not one I have any intention of giving up. :D

How does that relate to your height? Let's say a person 6' and another person 5'7" weigh the same. If the 6' person is considered at an average weight, the 5'7" person should lose weight? Not necessarily.

I'm not saying people should be happy being whatever size they want. I hate fat people who act like that. I'm just saying there's a lot more factors than the BMI takes into consideration. If any of you had dated a big butt latina, you'd agree.

I am healthy in the sense that I have no known illnesses, though I do have symptoms of a few things I'd rather not confront at this time.

As far as exercising and eating right... Kind of and kind of.

I try to run a mile each week, but have missed the past 7 weeks so I'm not doing too well with that one. I actually went two days ago but the gym was closed. I took that as a sign. ;)

I try to eat "low fat" items when possible, but they almost always taste like cardboard or just not good enough to stick with. This is especially true of butter. My girlfriend is always trying to get me on low fat non-salted butter and I'd rather be dead. Right now, in my home, we have probably 8 sticks of butter and we don't eat it. She does sometimes, but I suspect she hates it as much as I do.

I'm 21 in two weeks and I am really not too concerned with my health as I am young, in decent shape, not overweight, and I generally feel fine. :)

I recently lost 35 pounds and have been on a fitness/meal plan since September.
I've never been a drinker or a smoker and my only vice was a couple of diet Rockstar's per day (until recently)

I usually get something that knocks me on my ass every two years. Two years ago I had strep throat, this past week I had pneumonia. I was perfectly healthy without so much as the sniffles through 2006.

I feel that I am as healthy now as I have ever been, I'm just on a mission to be as fit as possible, which is probably a lifelong quest.
