If i upgarde to Leopard when it's released and still it on my Mac doesn it affect ANYTHING that's already on the computer like software and media files?
Yeah, I probably won't unless if FCS 6 requires it, but if not, I'll probably wait until I buy a Mac Pro, too.
when do you expect an upgrade of FCS?
Somebody told me that FCS 6 is coming out in mid-April at NAB, and that it'll probably require Leopard.
Now if only Apple would release iWork 07, I could ditch Word and wave good-by to MicroSoft forever![]()
ooooo, can't wait to see whats new in FC?
Yeah, I was just about to upgrade from FCE to FCS 5.1, but somebody told me to wait until NAB, which I completely forgot about. I probably won't have enough money to upgrade to it until April, anyway, because I'm going to have to get another external hard disk for all the data and some extra RAM.
Although, it certainly would be nice if they got rid of the platinum-esque scrollers and browser and aquafied them.
Definitely. I'm not sure it'll run on my Pismo at home, but I'll eventually need it at work and just to stay on top of the OS.
Alan
That would be an improvement indeed. But how about if they
"Illuminoused" them instead?
If they do indeed drop the ax on Aqua and bring out Illuminous, I definetly won't be upgrading to Leopard because if it does turn out to use a lot of black. I don't think black is a good color as the basis of a computer's UI. It's always been white or grey, and pretty much nothing else (unless if you count Windows' former blue title bar, but that was the only part of it that was colorful.)
ALERT. No matter what happens in April - and I agree FCS 6 is likely - you need to take advantage of Apple's once in a lifetime offer to go from FCP 4/4.5 HD PPC or any component of the PPC Final Cut Production - including upgrade versions - to the full FCS 5.1 UB for only $199. The upgrade from FCS 5.1.2 UB to FCS 6 will still cost a lot less than it will if you don't go to FCS 5.1.2 UB for $199 by March 20. This offer was supposed to end December 20. But Apple is bending over backwards to extend the offer for three more months through this winter. Anyone who has the old software and doesn't plunk down the $199 for the upgrade is making a big mistake.Yeah, I was just about to upgrade from FCE to FCS 5.1, but somebody told me to wait until NAB, which I completely forgot about.
