You're updating to 3.0, but you don't have your UDID registered with a developer? How?

I am registered with a developer and I am one of his beta testors for old and new apps.

He does have his UDID registered. Now he wants to test apps from the devs that he is registered with.

I am offering to test any app that developers need to test. I am not restricted nor limited to one developer. I test completely and honestly...if I find what I think is a problem as a user then I inform you. If I think its broke and won't make it...I tell you. If it is exceptional but needs a few adjustments...I tell you. I do not hold punches or candy coat it. I am not here to suck up or impress developers. I am here to try and put the best apps out there that will benefit the user and if it is a good one then bring the developer a profit. I do this for nothing!

I served my country for 25 years in the Army and did not ask for more then enough to take care of my family. I still maintain the same standards for the iPhone as a beta tester.

Results of Upgrade

I have completed the upgrade to 3.0! Thank you to the Dev. that sponsored me and he will always have my full support for current and future projects!!!

My update on my PC and iPhone completed without error.
I am running XP Media Edition w/SP 3
iTunes 8.1
iPhone 3G

I have 7 pages of apps with a lot of those having data bases.

ALL were restored without any data loss.

All were restored on pages 2-9 of the iPhone. They did not reload in the positions and order that I had. All were reloaded in alphabetical order. I have not lost any data that I have found yet and all passwords and settings have been restored. All of my music and podcasts were restored without loss or reorginization. All web apps that were in place, reloaded as if they were a native app...no loss of data.

I am continuing with my evaluation and will continue to post here unless a better thread becomes available.

Stay Tuned....

Im running it but i can't do anything as im not a paying developer!
any developers feel like adding me to their list haha!

Update

Ok all...I have reorganized my apps back to the order they were and here are the results of opening everything on page 1.

1) Settings: Everything under settings looks and remains the same...so far. Have not dug into anything but first selection. All looks and runs the same.

2) Calendar: Still syncs with my Outlook 2003. No data, appointments or changes noted. Unable to lock onto my Google Calender as it does not seem that the CalDAV option is activated yet. If I were to guess, it should work the same as contacts and allow me to select google under the Info tab when plugged in. This is not showing...yet.

3) Contacts are the same as the old version except one addition is now showing under groups. Any Exchange accounts you have built in now show a Global Address book for that exchange. Example: I am a college student and it is set up under an exchange account...it now offers me the ability to look up the Global address book and see all address's and use them to send/call/etc.

4) Emergency data is all still there the way I built it and the App works fine. I am a heart patient so this is improtant.

5) Calculator still looks and works the same

6) Maps...I will post more about later but at least what you are use to is still there.

7) Photos...Same as number 6, Do not see anything different yet.

8) Camera...BUG...the icon is missing for camera roll and is a hollow square but camera still seems the same...will test and report if different.

9) Weather Channel App still works and behaves as it did before but with its most recent update.

10) Google App...Still works but seems to be a little less accurate. Does not recognize clearly spoken words as accurately as it did before during the verbal search. May need calibration.

11) Evernote...Works fine and maintained all of my offline favorites, folders and still works as it did before.

12) Listomni...Works as it did before...Kept all of my To Do's without change or loss of schedule. Kept all lists and folders.

13) BillMinder...Maintained all of my Bills/Accounts/Due Dates and badges for upcoming payments. No change to functionality.

Still have 7 more to go through on Page 1 but everything works as it did before except for the changes already noted.

I have not had any crashes, slow downs or problems with the 3.0 install. iPhone still runs as well as it did before...and NO it is not QUICKER :D!!!

Will post again after more testing, stay tuned...

Like most people are saying is very buggy but is to be expected with a Beta and that is the chance we all take with a Beta process. Apple is pretty good about getting issues resolved fairly quickly though.
