They don't accept tips just bribes..

Yeah, what I do is put a $50 bill inside my MacBook when I hand it over.

Yeah you're suppose to give them tips... Because half of them don't know what the f#$k they're doing in the first place.

I've been working in retail for a loooong time and I can say that most companies discourage their employees from accepting tips or any kind of gratuities. Money, food, coffee, etc. Usually the bigger the company the more they from upon tips.

One place I used to work was in a real ritzy area and people loved to flaunt money but we weren't allowed to accept tips. Some of the richers used to get offended if you wouldn't take their pity money. So whenever they would force a tip on me I would either use it to buy my coworkers coffee or put it in the charity box.

I know for a fact that apple employees take tips. Not at the bar, but the ones who help bring there new iMacs and gear or repaired iMacs to there cars. Especially the stores in malls in high priced cities

Company policy states not to accept any money though

NO!!!!

If you are blown away by the good service, a nice note to the store manager would be much better.

Speaking of tipping, I love all these places that have tip jars now. I am supposed to tip you because you pour my drip coffee or add a little frothed milk to an espresso? Am I supposed to tip because you add all the already cooked ingredients for my burrito or salad together before my eyes? Seriously, you bring me food, attend to me to make sure the meal is good and drinks are always full, and clear away my dishes, I'll TIP! I am not going to tip a fast food restaurant or coffee shop that is one step above a Burger King or McDonald's.

I must admit that there are a few very cute women working at the local Apple store that I've been tempted to invite out for a drink, but I don't think this would qualify as a tip.

I fundamentally don't believe in tipping in general although I do tip wait staff just because not doing so is pretty much considered the social equivalent of calling someone the n word, but to answer your question no

that's not true. you don't have to be a fellow employee to sexually harass somebody. that's crazy talk.

I really don't know this thread turned up here, but you're right, you don't need to work with someone to sexually harass them. However, I don't believe that a customer asking a worker out for a drink, and even a co-worker (with no supervisory power) who just asks someone out for a drink would be sexually harassment either. If it become threatening, or the person says no and you continue, that's where you're crossing the line.

I've been to the Apple store Genius Bat on numerous occasions because of problems I've had with my MacBook's, iPods, and iPhones. I am just blown away by how excellent Apple customer service is, however I always leave the store feeling guilty because I don't now if I should have tipped the person who helped me with my device.

I told them to treat you like an old friend, so ... I suppose you should send your tip to me. I prefer either cash or gold. :D
