I'm looking to upgrade from my Iphone 4 soon but with nothing different looks wise everybody will think it's the same phone? :p

I'm a bit disappointed Apple never went with a metal back.

Old now but appropriate as ever...

Do you really care that much about what people think? Why don't you just carry it around in the box with a giant arrow pointing to the "S" on the iPhone 4S?

Seriously?

I don't care what other people think. I care what I think.

It keeps me up at night, I mean I haven't been able to eat, or sleep... I'm cutting myself, I'm actually losing hair over here.

If anyone, and I mean anyone says to me "Cool iPhone 4 bro" I swear I'll blow my brains out. :(

no offense but anyone who worries about that really needs to evaluate their life, so what if it looks the same it still performs better than the four :)

Why do you care what other people think about something so trivial?

Furthermore what makes you think they even care?

Remember, down the road not across the tracks!

The first iPhone had a metal back.

Why would you want people to know know you had the latest phone? Do you want to get mugged?

I'm planning on wearing one of those big sandwich board signs on my body that says "Don't be ridiculous, it isn't an iPhone 4, it is an iPhone 4S" to get around this exact problem

I'm having a jacket made as we speak. I am also having balloons being printed with "I have an iPhone 4S, it's better than yours". I'm planning on carrying them until the iPhone 5 is released.

Yes.

With all honesty, no. Why would I sweat on petty things?

everyone can make fun but this seemed pretty much the consensus before the release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't care less if people know I have the newest model or not. It is my phone, not theirs, and my experience is no less exciting because it's not plainly obvious that I'm "current."

Why weren't people B&M'ing this much when the 3GS was released? Was it the extra 4 months to prep iCloud, iOS5, and development of a world phone that gave people this entitlement?
