Not exactly a product, but...

I am still furious that ABC discontinued Commander in Chief. It started out with wonderful ratings and was one of their strongest shows, but because of poor management, people stopped watching. ABC kept switching the day of the week when it aired, there were months at a time without a new episode, and they failed to advertise new airings, changed dates, etc; eventually, people just forgot.

Vanilla Coke.

With that aside, there's this restaurant in New York called Zen Palate. It's this awesome place that makes everything with vegans in mind, delicious stuff. Well one of the delicious stuff used to be this peanut butter ravioli. DELICIOUS!

Now, they don't make that no more. :(

Yeah, I wish they still made Vanilla Coke also.
The Black cherry vanilla coke just isn't as good.

I really miss the old, sugary kids' cereals of the 80's.

I particularily miss Count Chocula, Frankenberry and BooBerry .

I am not sure if I would buy them now, but everytime I go down the ceral aisle, I sigh wistfully...

I also miss BBQ chicken pizza - or any attempt at making a pizza with new topping ideas, and not just injecting more cheese somewhere.

I also miss decent Chinese take-out, which seems to have been discontinued in Central Texas, if it ever existed in the first place...bah.

Yeah the series finale was back in February and Fox being Fox had it running up against I think the Super Bowl or something.

You can read about it here.

I'm still waiting patiently for the cut short season 3 on DVD.

They discontinued Vanilla Coke?! I could have sworn I just got it on fountain at Rubio's.

You obviously missed this then?

Levi's black 607s. I had a brief hope during the new-wave revival that they'd make a return but no such luck. Quite what westies are supposed to do for pants these days to go swimming in or to match their hand-knitted Norton/Harley jerseys I've no idea.

damn

Discontinuation
Doubt was cast over the future of Vanilla Coke and its splinter beverages as it was revealed that 2004 sales amounted to 35 million unit cases in North America, compared to 90 million in its inaugural year. Vanilla Diet Coke dropped by almost half since debuting in 2003 with 23 million unit cases sold, it fell to just 13. [11]

On November 3, 2005, the Cola-Cola Company announced that Vanilla Coke and its diet counterpart would be discontinued in the United Kingdom by early 2006. A day later it was announced that it would be phased out in North America by the end of 2005.

Coca-Cola introduced Black Cherry Vanilla Coke and Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke in North America in January 2006. The company said Vanilla Coke and Diet Vanilla Coke may be made available again in the future. [12]

"We are exploring ways to bring them back at another time, but right now Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke and Black Cherry Vanilla Coke are what consumers are telling us they want." [13]

Oh well they could always bring it back, right?

I was pretty sad when the 1970s were discontinued.
I don't laugh out loud at posts very often (except my own, of course), but I couldn't help it with yours.

Maybe a few shows like Firefly that I was sad to see go but not really anything tangible.

This thread is about 13 years too late for Crystal Pepsi's demise. :D

I was slightly disappointed when Burger King got rid of their mozzarella sticks and when Nestle got rid of their cookies & cream Quick powder.

Oh, and Burger King's Burger Buddies mini burgers from the 1980's.

Eh...I'll survive.

Among others:

1. General O'Wang's Sweet and Sour Corned Beef and Cabbage.
(Restaurant out of business)

2. Ben and Jerry's "Meatloaf N' Gravy"
(Discontinued 1986)

3. Aunt Betty's Maryland Fried Possum
(15 to 20)

4. Canned Tacos
(Three know deaths)

5. Cecil's Freeze Dried Jellied Tripe
(In Iraq now)
