As you can clearly see, I am not defensive, I didn't say that there are or are not issues with my phone case. I did not refer to anyone elses case or say mine was any better. I merely stated that the method in which [removed] is "testing" may have some consistency issues. If [removed] were to run the same test 25 times in the same location over an extended period and average that data, it might hold water.

...

If you watch the "reviews" done by [removed] they seem to concentrate on watching [removed] and the issues [removed] has with the cases he is reviewing. There are very few views of the reviews and it does not make business sense for me to ship free product somewhere that there will be limited exposure.

FYI you missed his name in these two paragraphs

Can you post some pics of yours please? I'd like to see more than what's on the website.

Here are a few, Any requests?

How secure is it in there? Any of that nasty grinding sound when you insert or remove ala alumacase?

It's a little blocky for my taste, but the front is sortof growing on me. The back I'm definitely not fond of however...just not a big fan of the band in the middle, would rather see it either all open or all closed - but it's certainly something different!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I was going to ask the same thing, how hard is it to get out? From the look of the design it appears it would be very easy to remove, and therefore not secure the phone at all. The look is growing on me though.

A simple who is domain search reveals I was correct...

Armadillocase and wilbur44 are indeed related. There names are Ted and Richard they have the same last name and they are both based out of Arizona (armadillocase and raintunnel). Another example of a fraudulent review from a desperate company.

PS... Your case is ugly anyways.

Ha! Wow...johnny is right on those guys having the same last name. Geez...another fraudulent customer busted.

A review of a product in my hand that I use daily is not fraudulent.

I have no financial interest in Armadillo case or their products. I have a business relationship with the owner of the company, but I am not paid to endorse their products and I do not benefit from it. I own and paid for a custom case with my logo on it. I am happy with it end of conspiracy.

I live in Mesa, AZ. I'm pretty sure my Armadillo case shipped from Tucson. But be that as it may, no one is forcing one down your throat. Exercise your freedom and right to keep your money and spend it on something else.

"Business" relationship? Your site owner (I would assume that's you) has the same last name as the site owner for armadillo case. I'd say that's definitely beyond a business relationship.

Both domains are registered to you.

Call it whatever you like, I like mine. My company is Rain Tunnel, just like the logo says. Check out my site if you like.... www.raintunnel.com.

I could care less if you buy one or not. I got mine and did a google search and ended up here.

I figured someone might have an interest in an opinion from someone who has one in their hand.

Sorry I shared with you. I'm sure I'll be back to this forum often. Seems like a great open friendly environment.

Spin in however you want, coming on here for your brother, uncle, dad cousin whoever an posing as a buyer claiming it's a great case without even mentioning the connection is sketchy at best unethical and wrong at worst.

None the less your account will be cancelled good luck with your ugle case business and shamwow business.

As an fyi afterward: I received the following email last night:

XXXXX,
I’ve tested the case a couple more times with better results with the case on. I know no one is going to believe me, so I’m gonna send you one to try out. I just ask that you are impartial and test the signal in multiple areas at multiple times. And please show the case during your video, no cats or bright smiling faces :)

Send me your address. You can keep the case.

Thanks,
Rich

I only point this out because, as you can see above, it came from the @raintunnel.com address. Then, this morning, received this:

XXXXX,
If you could do me one more favor. Apparently my MacRumors account was cancelled. My dad was posting as wilbur444. He is the one that found the thread in the first place. I can’t post and any more posting is just going to piss people off. I’ll send out the case tomorrow. Please let me know once you have reviewed it.

Now I'm not sure what to believe. While I'll still be happy to review the case for them, it seems awfully shady that now the "business partner" turns out to be the dude's dad...and now I have Rich emailing me from both an armadillocase and raintunnel address.

I for one am willing (as is apparently in my nature as I've said this more times than I can count about aluminum cases) to give benefit of the doubt that this was just a dude looking for some publicity and exposure, and that the case will perform as claimed. I will continue to believe that until and unless the case is exposed as non-working.

That having been said, Rich, if you're still reading this, you may want to rethink your way of marketing...particularly to groups over-run with geeks. People have been nailed by the geotags of their photos: something as simple as domain registration...oy...you might as well throw up a flag screaming "I'm posting as multiple people".

Completely understand if you opt not to send the case after this posting - though if it functions as well as you say, I would still encourage you to do so...following this fiasco you're going to need some positive PR.

best of luck,

I sure don't work for whomever makes this case...I've bought 17 different ones so far and need to go to iPhone case rehab. But I need to step in here for a moment.

I ordered the orange one. Were it not for a loss of reception, it would be number one. Despite that< i'm using it because I love the solid feel.

Plus it sure gets attention at AT&T Park with my SF Giants :)
