I think the demand is going to be great. I see tons of people with the iPhone 4 or 5 varieties. Pretty much all of them plan to upgrade to the SE. I am a current 6 user, and will be getting an SE because I always preferred the smaller form factor. I just didn't want to sacrifice processor speed.

For those of us who thought that the iPhone form peaked at the 3GS, we're back in the saddle again!

Hmm I have to agree with the other users: I think the price point and the need for more space for MOST people (Especially those who like to take photos) 16gb is too small and 64gb is just right and at the price point (especially if financing) 64gb is basically a no brainer.

I didn't realize demand was so high me and my wife went to an Apple store on launch day after work and they had every color except Rose Gold (naturally the one she wanted) but she settled on just Gold instead and I think she will stick with it. A quick check today showed that same store has nothing in stock except Rose Gold so demand for the 64gb is really high.

I would be curious to see how the and when the demand stabilizes I would suspect they would be able to start getting a handle on it at least in their stores this week where you will be able to reserve one online with relative ease. I remember during the 6S launch I was on their site making reservations at 0800 the week after launch though I did have to be quick about it. I imagine New York would be even harder then here.

I ordered mine from ATT and walked in the store to pick it up 30 minutes later. 64 gb, SG.

Easiest iPhone purchase I've ever made.

So I just checked online and some stores in the area show online stock available, both GB configurations, sim-free option. I know the carrier stores have them and TMo will sell it for full price (dont know about the others). So not sure what the issue is. If you want a new product, preorder. Or wait for it if you dont want to preorder.

I am not being critical but this isn't a "big deal" exactly.

16GB is readily available in Apple Stores near me, but 64GB is out of stock almost everywhere.

It will probably take a week or two for the supply pipeline to stabilize after the initial rush of buyers who really wanted a 4" phone.
