I think Kutcher will do a fantastic job as, well Jobs, as long as it's just still images strung together without voice or actual "acting".

what is all the negatives for the people posted that he looks nothing like Steve Jobs? IMO he barely resembles Steve Jobs, sure his younger days but that is all and I think all this negative votes are coming from Ashton Kutcher fans.

Rule of thumb, don't pay attention to votes on Macrumors.com (they used to have votes on stories and they were always bizarre results). They're capricious and generally don't increase useful discussion.

Punked?

Anybody think we might be getting "punked"?

Some people may really think AK is the stuff. Personally, I think he's just stuff.

I have a feeling this movie is going to be a mediocre film that is only exploiting Jobs passing for the financial benefit of those involved. Seems like they are rushing to get it done and out before the authorized biopic, which will only make the quality that much worse.

"Dude, I'm Steve Jobs!"

I think he looks close enough to pass as SJ for a movie IMO. If he really studies for the roll and picks up his movements he'll be passable.

Kutcher hasn't played in serious roles. This may be the one role that makes people take him as a serious actor.

I won't go to the theather to see it because it doesn't look like something I'd want to watch. I'll probably check it on Redbox or something though.

They should look for an actor who can DELIVER instead of looking for physical resemblance. When you believe the actor while watching the movie, all the stupid stuff like resemblance goes out the window.

Take the social network, they could have found someone that looked more like Mark Z - but it didn't really matter once you got invested in the movie and the action.

LoL! Got 2 negative votes for this, I think the trolls can not find their bridges.

Who are you kidding?

To the folks that say they aren't interested in seeing the movie or are downplaying their anticipation:

This is a forum dedicated to Apple, Inc., and Apple products.

You're going to see the movie. I'm going to see the movie...admit it, we're ALL going to see this movie. Regardless of the choice of actors, or the accuracy of likeness in a couple pics, this is website for people who are quite literally obsessed with Apple, Inc., and its heart and soul.

When it comes out, we'll all buy a ticket and see the movie.

Just sayin...

I'm not a huge fan of Kutcher. But in a world where Leonardo Decapreo plays a young AND old Hoover, I'll give anything a shot.

I can promise you I will NOT see this movie.

Then dont post in the threads about it, quite simple.

Its really laughable how childish people are being. 'eww its got that hipster Ashton Kutcher in it, that must mean it will be crap and aimed at teenage girls'.

Grow up.

I can't wait to read Ashton Kutcher's biography. Bet they'll make a movie about him someday.

I can't wait to read your biography. Bet they'll make a movie about you someday.

Anyway, I'm a pretty open minded guy and I'll give this movie a chance before I make a judgement.

I really enjoyed Noah Wyle's performance as Steve in 'The Pirates of Silicon Valley'. And his appearance at the MacWorld Keynote was legendary!

It would be an interesting movie if they had Charlie Sheen playing glorious leader,
Jack Black as Woz, a script by Hunter Thompson and direction by Stanley Kubrick.

Instead we'll get an iToon POS with Mr. Demi Coolpix. :(
