I don’t think it lets you. There should be some message in the store that tells you it’s not compatible.I'm curious what happens if you install it on a A Series chip iPad. Does it just error when you try to launch it, or does it just play at lower settings? At one point Apple had a policy against apps not supporting older models which still had current iOS support.
Apple has decided to sit on the fence so this is all we get:They gave up on Mac gaming unfortunately, didn’t they. iPhone and iPads only!?
I'd buy a $400 Apple TV M4 that can run games - but I doubt many would.
It's $25 for the first two weeks.I still think that people willing to pay $50 for a game are also people who most likely already have a preferred gaming system, but time will tell.
I love video games and have two consoles and a Steam Deck and I can't see myself spending this kind of money on a game that only runs on my phone.
Now some will say mobile gaming is already huge and some people just don't have consoles, all of which is true, but I don't see mobile gamers spending $50 on a game.
The same money buys a PS5 or a Series X|S with a decades worth of games rather than the select few that so far have been released. Honest question, why get the Apple TV?

I have a gaming PC and would like a high-quality game I can play when not in front of it.
Helps to read the support page, I find it hazards for anyone to think it wouldn’t support “external” controllerSo... wait. Can you use an external controller with this game on iOS or not?
Seems like it'd be kinda odd NOT to support that...
This sucks even moreAh sucks you have to create a Ubisoft account, and when I tried to link my Apple account and hide my email it didn’t like it.
Games are meant to be played on PC / console.. not on tablets / mobile phones.

Fixed it for you.Games are meant to be playedon PC / console.. not on tablets / mobile phones.
The protocol already exist! A USB-C cable.I'd buy a $400 Apple TV M4 that can run games - but I doubt many would.
So create a protocol for zero-latency game streaming from iPhone/iPad to Apple TV.
Personally, I think the iPad has huge potential for gaming. its my favourite device and I would definitely buy games on it at full price. I have Civ 6, DOS2, and will try this game out too.I still think that people willing to pay $50 for a game are also people who most likely already have a preferred gaming system, but time will tell.

I didn’t even know there was a limit, I thought Apple got rid of thatOne thing I noticed is that the app bundle shows 11.09 GB. Is this the first app/game in the iOS App Store that breaks the 4GB bundle size limit?
