Asurion replacing AT&T iPhone 6 with iPhone 6S

I just had my daughters i6 64gb replaced through Asurion insurance. I did it all online. They replaced it with a 6S 64gb space gray. It arrived next day brand new sealed. Was very happy that is was new and my declining deductible was $99 that they charged to my carrier bill. Returned the original phone through the very slow return service, but was received 2 weeks later and all went very smoothly.

on July 2016 my wife ask for a replacement for her iPhone 6 64gb gold and it was replaced with the 6s, but yesterday I ask for a replacement for my iPhone 6 64gb space gray and it was replaced for the same 6. I think they replaced with the 6s the models no longer available like the 128gb and the gold versions of the 6.
My wife just had her phone stolen and went from iPhone 6 64g to iPhone 6s 64g.... no fluke.. they must not have anymore of the 6's.
I just finished submitting my claim for my 6 plus 128gb SG. Hoping I get a surprise 6S Plus as well! Final page stated that they were sending a 6 plus
I can sadly confirm that as of today, they are still replacing 6 plus devices with 6 plus devices.
^^^what he said! depends on the carrier too. I have Sprint and they replaced my daughter's 6 Plus with a 7 Plus because it was the only available Gold 128gb phone at the time....they said i could wait 15-30 days to get an exact replacement or take the free upgrade now. obviously my little girl now has a 7 Plus and she's very happy with it! btw, since Sprint and Asurion work independently from each other, i'll still be able to by this new phone for the price of the original 6Plus that was leased..... so, $200 claim cost, 3 more lease payments of $32, and $320 buy out price....total $612 and i'll have a 7 Plus 128GB at a nice discount. I got an awesome deal. I enrolled in Asurion with Verizon during their annual "open enrollment" period. I only paid for a partial month of insurance because I lost my phone the same week that I enrolled. Paid the $200 deductible and am trading in the replacement phone to receive my $650 Verizon promo credit. The phone that I lost was bent and had a cracked screen, so it wash't eligible to trade in anyway. Once my claim was processed, I cancelled the insurance. So I paid just over $200 and am getting $650 from Verizon for it. Win for me!

My mother in law got a Galaxy S 5 when her Galaxy S 3 crapped out on her. This is quite common when there are no refurbished sotck left of your specific model.
The OP has not got his replacement yet. They are famous for using third party parts to put together a working phone.
I had a gold 64GB iPhone 6 Plus from Sprint and when it was stolen they replaced it with a 64GB iPhone 6s Plus in the colour of my choice. I opted for Space Grey.
