Carrier AT&T account being used on a diff. Carrier phone?

I ended up opening an account with Verizon, activated the iPhone on Verizon, took out the sim and registered the IMEI on my att account with a new SIM card and then cancelled my Verizon account lol. Found a loophole! Currently on my phone it's unlocked through iPhone upgrade program and using att network

That's actually the suggested way if you want IUP on a different carrier. If you really want a good option, take that phone to cricket. $65 unlimited data using ATT network

You could also have just taken out the SIM from your old phone and put it in the new phone. I did that, and the device shows up as "unknown" on AT&T's website but it works just fine.

Indeed, but that literally only effects downloads. Any video you
Play, music you stream, etc is using less bandwidth than that.

I was already there cancelling my jet black order and paying off my remaining installments on my galaxy so i said f it w.e its free lol!
