Thinking I'm going to try online with apple and see if they have store pick up. I saw in another thread that apple will allow this starting at midnight local time.

I'm just gonna stay with my preorder. Rather have something secure and late than nothing.
 
Sigh, I don't think that this kind of factory is gonna close. I mean. The demand is so high for this phone right now that it's 24/7 operation is crucial.

My work deal with Foxconn as vendor, and yes, they do close for couple days, unless anyone paying big $$$ for overtime, and I do mean big $$$.

No apology or response from AT&T what so ever in regards to premier members.

No heads up that the order was processed at a different time than the order was placed.

Why did I give AT&T business since 2004? Because they never dropped the ball on me until today. Now I will be sure to order from Apple and never AT&T.com

ill give them the benefit of the doubt and hopefully they come thru by tuesday. There is really no recourse because the original email said 14-21 days or something. They really did cover them selves well. I never "needed" my phone day one but I did expect fair treatment but now I feel second class.
 
Welp. Cancelled my att order for a 6plus. Didn't want to wait until Thanks giving. I re-ordered a regular 6 through apple and should have it within 2 weeks, ensuring my turkey day does not consist of pacing around the house waiting on a phone. Lesson learned. Always order through Apple.
 
QUESTION:

If I'm going to get a 6+ in stock at a local store, do I need to cancel my preorder first before I can get the one in-person and start the new NEXT plan? Or does it not matter since my new plan on the preordered phone wouldn't become activated until I actually received it anyway?

You can't pick up phones with the Next plan. It wouldn't let you checkout.
You can pick up only if you go on contract (means overpaying by 50%). Or if you can find T-Mobile contract free phone, but good luck with that.

Yes you will need to cancel before placing the order online.

Also, you cannot use NEXT to place a Personal Pick Up order.

I had to cancel my preorder before ordering on Apple.com. I literally clicked cancel in the email link they send you, counted 5 seconds, switched windows, and placed my order.
 
My order was shipping and my tracking numbered showed up! Although I can't see it on Fedex site right now, I called and they said it will be delivered Monday. Guess I won't be going to my 1 o'clock class. hahah

Did AT&T completely forget about us? And what happened about that guy who said his sister was dating a shipping manager .. I wonder if any of that was true. No updates on my tracking information, sitting here forgotten by AT&T it seems

I already posted in the ATT 6 plus thread. My 128GB SG 6+ status is shipped from Monday delivery. Coming from Dallas FT Worth to Florida. I ordered around 11:55PST with 12:01PST email confirmation. Estimate was 10/13-10/21>10/13-10/21>10/02-10/13.
 
what can i do if att wont let me cancel my preorder. I tryed to cancel myself but it was rejected and on the chat they arent able to cancel. I found the device at an apple store near me. This sucks.........
 
Maybe some good news, depending on how you look at it anyway.

Preorder of 6+ Silver 64gb placed at 3:03am EDT with confirmation email received at 4:34am, through AT&T Premier. Originally in 10/13-10/22 window, bumped up to 10/2-10/13 a few days ago.

I tried to cancel my order so that I could pick up locally instead. However, using the cancel order button on the website resulted in the request being successfully submitted but then I received an email stating that the cancel request was unsuccessful.

I then tried a live chat to have "Bob" from customer service cancel the order but again he was unable to do so. He stated the order had "dropped into their shipping system." He was taking forever to respond so I didn't press him for more info, anything else he had to say would be suspect anyway. So maybe we will be getting our phones delivered soon. Or maybe AT&T just wont stop messing with me, which seems every bit as likely at this point.

Pretty much my exact same situation. Gold 128 6+ coming from Fort Worth to NJ on Monday. Phew. Saga almost over?
 
Anyone know how to get around the fact that Apple doesn't offer ATT Next purchases?

Like I've stated in another thread. There is the exact iPhone 6+ I want within 2 miles of where I'm sitting and I can't get it because Apple doesn't deal with ATT Next. Now I have to wait for ******* ATT to get their act together and get me my preorder.

"Premier" customer my ass.
 
So there is plenty of Stock at the Apple store. I've canclled my pre order-
Once it takes effect can I simply buy it via Apple for pickup locally?
 
Good news for NY/NJ users

I registered to post this good news for people in NY/NJ who haven't received any update on their order yet:

The Apple Store on Fifth Ave and Grand Central and in NJ have stock on every model/color/size as of 8:40am today. I just cancelled my order with stupid at&t, and will pick up mine in store later today.

A little bit more information in case you're interested: Ordered a 64g Gold+ on at&t on 3:20am EST, estimate shipping time changed from 10.31-11.11 to 10.2-10.13, and has been stay there for a week. I woke up this morning and just curious so checked the store availability, to my surprise, Apple has all of them available for pickup today! I went to the premier site where you check your status, clicked on the cancel preorder button which reappeared sometime last week. Then within 30 secs received a confirmation email, confirm. Then go back to apple app, obviously my upgrade status was refreshed immediately because i was able to upgrade immediately.

I checked other models/colors, the 5th ave store has them all while the one in Grand central doesn't have gold pluses.

Suck it at&t, i will never order from you again.
 
Doing an online chat with AT&T now. Don't even know why I am waisting my time. Their just going to tell me the same things i already know.
 
I preordered at 3am Eastern on 9/12, went to an AT&T store 9/19 and stood in line. An ATT employee told me I had to cancel my preorder via customer service (not in store) before I purchased, but I had to do it before it was my turn to enter the store bc they would not wait for me while I did it. I told her I didn't want to cancel before I knew I got my desired model. She asked which, I told her 6 plus 64GB SG. She told me I'd be fine, that they had plenty and I'd get one. Cancelled the preorder. A few minutes later the manager comes out and says he is out of plus models. I am livid. I explained what happened and he suggests I call ATT and lie, claiming no one authorized cancellation. So after a 3am preorder and hours of waiting online, I have no phone and no preorder, lol.

Went to Apple website this am and saw that my desired model is allegedly available for pickup today at one location near me. Hoping they didn't just forget to update stock.
