I stand corrected yes it is either or I just checked my screen shotit does not have to be 30 month, it can be 24 months as well and they will adjust it appropriately. See screen shot from ATT website advertisement

Do you have directv also? Maybe that was why I was able to get it.Yes. The promo's fine print just requires the 'new' line to be open for the length of the credits (24 or 30 months).

Good idea! I'll call them today and see what I can get.
EDIT: I called retentions, and they only offered me $10/off a month for life. Better than nothing. The AT&T girl who answered said that they have promotions ready to run on the iPhone Xs in the next 1-2 months, but she can't tell me when just yet.
Sprint is offering this iPhone XS/XSMax 64gb deal when you switch and trade in a phone for $0 to $4.17 per month for 18 months. You can get the higher gb storage if you pay the difference upfront. Just an FYI
But that is not true....look at my previous post. The "Give One" phone credits are split out over 30 months and if paid off early go away.I stand corrected yes it is either or I just checked my screen shot

Someone on Reddit did tell me that once the credits start on the "Give One" phone, you are safe to pay off the "Buy One"That’s what we were told. We couldn’t even pay off one early so we can upgrade and leave the discounted one.
You would think so but we were told that we can’t without loosing the credit. Of course, can’t trust everything c/s tell you.Someone on Reddit did tell me that once the credits start on the "Give One" phone, you are safe to pay off the "Buy One"

Will ATT match this deal?

But the T&C specifically says “credit over 30 months”.I agree with that. I thought it was a 30 month deal only but it seems you can also do it in 24 months, you are right though if you pay it off early you will lose your credits.
This is for a lease, you won't own the phone after 18 months plus you have to trade in an "eligible phone". The small print from Sprints offer...."Upon completion of 18-mo. term, customer can continue to pay monthly lease amount, purchase or return the device. Customer is responsible for insurance and repairs. Early termination of lease/service: Remaining lease payments will be due immediately, and requires device return or payment of purchase option device price in lease."Sprint is offering this iPhone XS/XSMax 64gb deal when you switch and trade in a phone for $0 to $4.17 per month for 18 months. You trade it in or pay off the remaining 6 months outright $275.04 or pay remaining 6 pyts monthly at $45.84 (XSM example). So, you are still getting the phone for $275.04 + $75.06 for 18 installments payments. Total of $350 for a $1099 XSMax phone. Everyone is responsible for repairs (get ins if you want) Plus they give you $100 Mastercard for each line. This is for a lease, you won't own the phone after 18 months plus you have to trade in an "eligible phone".
