Then what plan do I need to have in order to get this MMS working before the 25th of this month? Business plan/Enterprise? What's the difference?
the regular unlimited messaging plan...not having anything to do with iPhone in the title

Mine works perfect even on wifi. I did the 5.2 ipcc. I'm on a family plan which I think is the main issue with the red ! for people on individual plans.
what's worse, complaining about a feature you don't have and would use? or complaining about people who want a feature you don't care about?
there never seems to be a shortage of people taking the time to post about how pointless mms is to them. I personally will use it all the time.
btw I've tried pics, audio, and a video. (both ways to and from) all are working good
followed the new guide with the 5.2 ipcc and all the settings looked the same from the guide after rebooting and I still get the same red exclamation. BOOO must be that im on an individual text plan and not family. seems thats the problem most people are having. guess ill just wait the 9 days til it works the right way![]()
Make sure you put adn info.. Copy from data... Had red x until I populated that info

Mine has been working great since Friday night. Visual voicemail still works flawlessly and it doesn't matter if wifi is on or not.
Follow this guide perfectly.
PS: some people are still getting red exclamation marks, I did too up until Friday when AT&T was out for about 4 hours in my area. All of a sudden they would go through.
This link will now take you to the new guide, which includes a link to download the updated IPCC

This one also keeps group texts as SMS's instead of changing them to MMS.
*NOTE* This will give you AT&T 5.2 on your about screen, this is just for convenience purposes to allow us to be able to tell the difference in IPCC's.
For just the newest IPCC:

Worked for me! I have a 32GB 3Gthat I got at the end of August that is on a family plan with unlimited messaging running a JB 3.0.1 and you carrier file was the only one that would even install for me. Everything else kept saying I was still at 4.0. Now it says 5.2, has MMS (even with WiFi on), Tethering, and Visual Voicemail.
Just out of curiosity, what carrier file is it/what has been done to it? You said it is "5.2" for convenience purposes, so what was it really?
Oh and thanks! now I can go send a bunch of MMS till I get bored of it.
It's the same 5.0 carrier file that is part of the 3.1 upgrade. We've just modified it telling it to enable MMS messaging and gave it all the MMS settings it needs. I said 5.2 for convenience purposes because we just changed the version number on the file so that people can tell the different between the IPCC's they have on their phone. That way when people say its not working, its very easy for people like me to determine the problem more quickly.
Your instructions worked perfectly, thanks! However, I would like to go back to my original setup. How can I rollback these changes?
I am following the instructions as listed in the .pdf and am unable to locate a file which will allow me to click "Ok" (Vista 64) as mentioned in the instructions. Any tips on where to work or how to configure it to locate the file I can select in lieu of just the folders which when clicked simply open and show no contents?
Thanks.
