Yes, AT&T will add a $15 activation fee per new phone. If you buy a phone from Apple, pay full price and aren't on a contract with AT&T do they still hit you with the fee?
I haven't checked my AT&T bill yet to see if they did.

Now is this only if you pay in full? I did the AT&T next so was just wondering..I simply just asked. My exact words were "I just recently added two new iPhones and was told I would be charged activation fees on my paid in full phones. I've never asked this before, but I was wondering if I can get credited for those fees." The CSR on the chat just said of course she can, and added the credit immediately. In fact, my account already posted the $30 credit. Pretty darn nice.
I didn't get a $15 charge. If you buy a phone from Apple, pay full price and aren't on a contract with AT&T do they still hit you with the fee?

You'll want to check your AT&T bill if you activated the SIM that came with the iPhone.I didn't get a $15 charge.
Paying full price from Apple equals no commitment equals no charge from att.
I ordered two iPhones. You'll want to check your AT&T bill if you activated the SIM that came with the iPhone.
I didn't get charged either and my bill just came today. I activated the sim that came with the phone.I didn't get a $15 charge.

I never pay an upgrade fee.... total money grab that serves no purpose but to line their pockets.
Of course this thread is 3 years old but still rings true.
I just called to try to get the $45 upgrade fee waived. Got shot down.
Will try again tomorrow. It's hit or miss who u are dealing with. I had gotten upgrade fees waived from 2004-2010. 2011 no. 2012 yes. 2013 no. 2014 (partial waived/$25 credit on the $36 upgrade fee).
Well they have no reason to charge any activation fee since your sim is already activated......I bought full price from ATT. Put the SIM from the 6+ into the 6S and all is good.
No fee charged.
Try doing the online chat, I have better luck that way.
