I've spent the past few hours looking on different sites and getting different info so hopefully this group can help me out.

My IP7 will arrive today and i'm hoping to give my IP6 to my mother so she can get rid of her awful LG Android device. I am on AT&T and will be unlocking my device once the new one is set up. My mother is on Verizon.

From what i've read, the IP6 that I got from AT&T has both GSM and CDMA capabilities so once it is unlocked, it should function just fine on Verizon. Can anyone please confirm this?

The most helpful thread i've found here is this.

Thanks in advance.

I know the VZW iPhone 6 works on AT&T b/c I just sold mine today and the buyer put his AT&T SIM card in and it worked like a charm, he started getting his voicemails etc. So it should work the other way around?

The iPhone 6 model for Verizon is the same one that is for AT&T (and T-Mobile).
