UPS is orders of magnitude better than Fed/Ex. They are not perfect but a much, much better company.
UPS regularly damages items sent to me.

They even lost my iPhone 5. Order via Apple Store app, well after launch but before 5s. Was on truck "Out for delivery" for 3 weeks and I could not get an answer from UPS about where the box was. Gave up and did not get another phone until 5s (ordered via Apple Store app on launch, sent via Fed Ex with no issues)

Guess it depends on where you are?

I'm sorry to hear that. I am sure it depends on where you are. My neighborhood has the same UPS driver and he has been on this route for at least 5 years now. The guy is awesome! Always has a wave and a smile and shows true concern for where he leaves packages etc.

I used to work for FedEx ground. Sorted packages for a couple years. I have a lot of respect for the package handlers, trailer drivers, and delivery people who work hard for a company that doesn't really treat their employees very well.

After knowing how I was instructed to handle packages, and seeing a lot of **** first hand, I prefer to ship via UPS or USPS over FedEx. I'll agree that the service between companies can vary a lot depending on your area and the individual delivering on your route.

Newbie here, but had to sign up to reply... I've been with you guys for all 197 pages! I myself ordered the Apple IPHONE6SP 128GB SGY via AT&T on 09/12/2015- 00:17PDT. I also received the initial shipping date of 10/16/2015 - 10/23/2015. I've been waiting 16 days like many of you and last friday, I finally received a item shipped e-mail with a fed-ex tracking number with an estimated Shipping date of Mon 9/28/2015 by 8:00 pm PDT. I received notice at 08:10 this morning that it's On FedEx vehicle for delivery. Fingers crossed....

I hope everyone gets their phones this week. It's been a roller coaster journey! I like many of you will be ordering directly from Apple.com next time. My co-worker ordered his IPHONE6SP 128GB SGY via Apple and received it last Friday.

Post here if anyone sees another wave of shipments today! Ugh I want my phone!
I'm waiting to see that too... but I haven't seen any post on being shipped today and usually by this time a big batch has gone through... Spoke to a rep and she didn't give me much hope

So after I bought mine @ Apple and AT&T says they canceled my pre-order...of COURSE I would get a FedEx tracking notification from AT&T and a follow up email telling me my phone is on the way. Tuesday is delivery.
646s+RGD

If anyone in the Northern TN or Southern KY need it I'll sell it to you for Apple list price. Not in it to make money. It's just that or I take it back and cancel that line.

Selling an iPhone at list price?
You are a good man or woman, Charlie Brown :)

Is there a thread to discuss Fedex deliveries? I'm wondering if they are requiring signatures and what to do to either hold the package somewhere or or just leave it if I'm not home.

I've heard others, who have received their iPhones, state that no signature is required.
Reason 25 while I'm still here waiting for my delivery today. Don't want to have any delivery issues.

FEDEX delivering without a signature required is true, but hard to believe.
Apple is usually good with security so I'm surprised they're sending it like that.

Fedex definitely not my carrier of choice

The "sender" designates whether or not a signature will be required. I guess Apple cares (that you get your phone) and AT&T doesn't.

What's better than Fedex??

Nothing

I agree. Fed Ex is my delivery service of choice. I've had many problems with UPS deliveries and zero (so far)

Yep, in my area UPS sucks and Fe Ex is outstanding.

SGY for life, Son!

AT&T does a terrible job at updating their shipping notifications... Last year I had the phone before they gave me a tracking number. Only reason I knew it was on the way was because of UPS My Choice which notified me that a package was being shipped to my address.

I ordered on 9/14...I received shipment notice on Saturday...however it looks like ATT generated a UPS label but hasn't actually provided the package to UPS. There is no scheduled delivery yet... dang. Anyone in this situation?

Yup - if you're a UPS MyChoice member I'm showing an estimate of Tuesday but I don't trust that until I see something beyond "label created" and it is in UPS's hands.

Same here - still sitting on "label created" on Saturday. Getting nervous that it's not actually moving. :(
