I've gone way past the 10 gb with no slowdown. Idk if it's implemented yet.

The antenna on the dc112a is just for the wifi I think?? Try cradling the hotspot and check the signal strength and quality with the cradle.

Yeah, this isn't throttling, it's just so much slower than my iPhone.

And yes, the antenna is for wifi, but I tried another external antenna iPad it's no faster. I feel like it's ATT not giving me any faster for some reason, but it can't be throttling based on usage. Unless there is something with the iPhone antennas or technology that makes it that much better.

My upload on the other devices is often faster than download, which doesn't seem right.

When you are connected to the hotspot (unite explore) are you connected to which wireless network? 5Ghz will get you faster speeds than the 2.4.

So you're saying when the iPhone is connected to the hotspot or iPhone on lte?

You can also run an Ethernet to a pc directed from the cradle and do a speed test.

I'm connected to the 5Ghz, when the phone is connected I get like 5 Mb, when the phone is on LTE I get 30-60 Mb

Have you tried not using that lte ts9 antenna? I've read they can sometimes be more harmful than good.

What is your signal strength and quality? They're displayed on the hotspot in settings? With and without the lte antenna plugged into the ts9 ports??

What plan are you using that gets unlimited data via a hotspot?

Att unlimited plus. Add it to multi line for $20 a month

The speeds I get are the same with or without the external antenna. I will check the signal strength when I get home. Thanks again.

That's about the extent of my ideas. I don't know a lot about it, just what I experienced. What you're saying doesn't sound right, as the 815s has the same modem as some of the iPhones and has 3x carrier aggregation. I was just curious as to what kind of signal strength you're seeing since your phone is getting good lte signal.

I have seen my hotspot not connect to lte before and be on 4g, this would cause the speeds to be slower.

Signal Strength: -72 dBm
Network status: LTE

My last two tests were actually pretty good, I got 19 Mb and 17 Mb. First was this morning early and then this evening when I got home. The only thing I did different was leave the hotspot on, before when I wasn't using it I'd shut it off.

If you are going to be leaving the hotspot docked, take the battery out of it.

That's pretty good signal strength. Sorry but I'm at a loss with what to do to improve the speeds.

Dude, you have been an awesome help. I really appreciate all the quick replies and good info. What you have told me so far has worked. I think it maybe just needed time to get a good signal or something. When I test my phone on Wi-Fi/HotSpot I've been getting close to 20 Mb. The iPad is still slower, but for whatever reason every iPad I've had the Wi-Fi has been terrible. I may still call AT&T and ask them about the speeds, even if the hotspot is getting decent speed my iPad is still terribly slow on LTE. Thanks again
