AT&T on Friday launched a new "Buy One Get One Free" promotion for the Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 and select other Samsung smartphones, and MacRumors has learned the deal also applies to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Beginning today until December 31, 2015, AT&T customers who activate or upgrade to an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus on AT&T Next are eligible to receive a second 16GB iPhone 6s for free, or a $650 bill credit towards the purchase of another iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus model.

The $650 bill credit is spread out into 28 or 30 monthly payments. AT&T Next 24 customers will receive $21.67 over 30 months, while AT&T Next customers with a down payment will receive $23.22 over 28 months, both totaling $650.

Any down payments are due at the time of sale, and monthly bill credits will appear within 2-3 bill cycles. The first payment will be a lump sum of any AT&T Next payments to that date. The original AT&T line must remain in good standing for eligibility.

AT&T has not publicly advertised its "Buy One Get One Free" deal for the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, but customers should be able to visit participating AT&T stores or contact the carrier otherwise to learn more, including exact terms and conditions.

So basically, with some hoops to jump through.
Free iPhone 6S... not bad... not bad at all.

I'm trying to understand this. I think the way this can work is if I upgrade a line on AT&T Next, I can pay for the second iPhone in full, then get the $650 in bill credits on that AT&T Next line's iPhone each month. If this can work, then I think I might get the deal to upgrade my dad's phone. My parents' phones/lines are all covered by me on my plan, and I just recently bought a Sim Free iPhone 6s Plus, and gave my dad my old iPhone 6 to replace his 5. If I get this deal, I can just get him the iPhone 6s, get another new iPhone 6s, then sell off my old iPhone 6, and give my mom the 'free' iPhone 6s, take her iPhone 6 and keep it for backup.

*EYES GLAZED OVER*

So, sign up for Next and be stuck with them for 30 months to actually get a "free" phone. How about I solve a Rubik's cube while blindfolded... it's probably an easier task.

Nvm - Misread something in the article.

No - Sign up for AT&T Next, get 2 iPhones. Pay one iPhone off immediately, and have the $650 bill credit pay off the second iPhone. Now you have two iPhones for the cost of one and you can take them anywhere you please.

You didn't read the article, did you? :\

Is there anything in the AT&T Next terms preventing you from buying the phone on AT&T Next to get the $650.00 credit/second iPhone 6s and then paying the phone off soon thereafter (within 30 days)? This is a good deal but I don't want to have to spread the payments out over 2+ years.

Edit: Well, I guess it doesn't really matter if I pay the phone off over 2+ years because I won't have the freedom to switch carriers for 2+ years unless I want to miss out on getting the remaining balance of the $650.00 credit. Well played in your favor, AT&T.

If there is even a 1% decline in YOY sales of the iPhone for the holiday quarter, watch out below for the stock (which I can care less about, just saying).

Just to clarify, I know this is an Apple website, but it also applies to Samsung phones, for anyone interested. The credit for Samsung devices is $595 dollars on the second one.

Yes. If you pay the phone off, the credits will cease.

How bout just go for 12month plan, and get a new phone each year, plus a free phone as well on this sale

Hardly difficult - you decided you want 2 iphones - you either pay $1,300 all at once pay - or go with this deal and spread the cost of 1 phone over 20-30 months and get the second one free - I don't see a downside

Ok so pay for one phone in 30 months and get the other one absolutely free?

Think it's too good a deal to be true.
