so the consensus at this time with the most tracking numbers:

1. preordered thru regular AT&T site
2. preordered thru AT&T store
3. preordered thru Premier site boo! I thought the purpose of Premier status is to get better customer service but I guess not!

well it seems like most people who preordered from apple.com are in good standing so that is why I didn't create a poll for it, as you can see from the poll result so far, it's bad. I should have preordered thru Apple but I did reserve in case AT&T messed up which I think they probably will based on this poll!

From their site or the store?

The store was ridiculously easy compared to all the online experiences I read about. Even as a Premier customer, I walked in and out and less than 10 minutes over lunch on the 15th and it's shipped and on it's way. It could not have been easier.

While I'm normally an online guy, this was one of those instances where going into a brick and mortar store was 100 times easier and less frustrating.

Same for me. I tried to order thru apple and att and premiere all morning of the 15th and couldn't even get close to finalizing anything. I decided to go up the road and check out ATT store about 1:00 eastern. I thought the store was shut down because no one was there. i went in and all the employees were in the back eating pizza and the greeter went and got an employee for me.

Took about an hour or so to order 3, but it was sooo much smoother than what was happening online. I hate ATT customer service, but they really stepped up that day. I still keep having flashbacks to the jacka$$es at a different ATT store for the 3G launch. Closest I've ever got to punching someone first!!

BTW, I've got fedex tracking numbers on 2 of the phones and a ups tracking number on the other. The ups tracking says its in memphis... i think ups is picking up some phones from fedex, since thats their major hub in this part of the world.

Finally!

Ordered 2 phones at retail store at 2pm Eatsern... Now both show with tracking # on ATT order status site. Both sent via UPS Next day air saver.. Location is Memphis. I did not receive email regarding shipping for either of them through..

Still no tracking number but the phone isn't showing back ordered anymore! (ordered on premier @ 830 AM EST on June 15). I guess that's one step closer to shipping!

You can move one out of the Premier, Backordered, No Tracking and into the Premier, Tracking number received as of 9:00 AM this morning. 32GB, ordered 6/15 at 8:10 AM.
