No shipment email yet but I noticed that FedEx is listed as my carrier now and order details show a 9/23 shipment date. I know ATT doesn't require a signature for UPS... is it the same thing for FedEx?

at&t Pending Confirmation?

That sucks ... That's why I never order through AT&T. Always order through Apple. My wife's gold iPhone shipped 2 days ago and just arrived at Anchorage, AK, United States. Should have it in my hands by Thursday.

I had the same message on the email confirmation page, that the status was pending confirmation. Then I logged into AT&T today and, what do you know? The iPhone has been shipped and it will be here on Friday. I even got the tracking number. So don't rely on the page you're taken to from the email confirmation. Log in, check the status of a wireless order, and you might be pleaseantly surprised. I didn't order the phone until about noon on the 12th and I'll get it on Friday.

You do realize that this thread is a year old, right? They are all talking about the 5S I assume.
